I know there are probably quite a few of you who are down with AS.
I was just gonna see what everyone thinks of the different shows on there. I would have made this a poll, but there are too many shows that could be considered as a front runner for #1.
Here is my take on the whole thing

my ratings are out of a possible 10

American Dad 7
ATHF 9
Big O 2
Case Closed 2
Family Guy 9
FLCL 8
Fullmetal Alchemist 4
Futurama 10
Ghost in a Shell 9, but it is too weird for words sometimes
Harvey Birdman 6
Home Movies 8
InuYasha 6
Lupin the 3rd 6 would be higher if the animation didn't suck so bad
Mission Hill 8
The Oblongs 8
Robot Chicken 9
Sealab 2021 6
Tom Goes to the Mayor -30, just as bad as Super Milk Chan was
Venture Bros. 11 Brock Sampson=God

It's a block of shows in the Cartoon Network where the shows are more adult oriented. Family Guy and Futurama are prime examples of cartoons kids aren't likely to understand.

Yeh we get Cartoon Network but we dont get any of those programmes. We get stuff like DBZ etc

American Dad 7 (I agree with you here... it has its moments, but its pretty average)

ATHF 9 (great show, though i can't explain why...)

Big O 2 (never really watched it, i dont really get into anime for some reason)

Case Closed 2 (see Big O)

Family Guy 9 (I'd rate it higher if I didnt know all the episodes by heart  )

FLCL 8 (See Big O)

Fullmetal Alchemist 4 (see Big O... again)

Futurama 10 (AWESOME SHOW!!! I WANT MORE!!!)

Ghost in a Shell 9, but it is too weird for words sometimes (Big O again... no anime for me)

Harvey Birdman 6 (I'd rate this show higher if I ever saw more than the same 3 episodes, I like it though)

Home Movies 8 (this show is very funny, one of the best i think)

InuYasha 6 (no anime again... dont know why)

Lupin the 3rd 6 would be higher if the animation didn't suck so bad
(I find this show to be unwatchable... its just too involved in itself)

Mission Hill 8 (for some reason i cant place this title with a show...)

The Oblongs 8 (entertaining, but stupid)

Robot Chicken 9 ( I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! I just love seeing all the crazy humor thats right up my alley)

Sealab 2021 6 (I'd rate this show higher if it werent so slow moving and downright stupid... sometimes you wonder if the writers were thinking, "whats the most non-sensical thing we could make happen")

Tom Goes to the Mayor -30, just as bad as Super Milk Chan was (dont get me started on this dumb show... its like they make up dialog on the spot and it ends up being a bunch of Uh... umm.... uhhh... )

Venture Bros. 11 Brock Sampson=God (another GREAT show!!)

I've seen a few episodes of the Oblongs after late night XP sessions, flipping through the channels and seeing them on TBS (along with Futurama and Family Guy). It's an ok show. Can't beat the book it's based on. That's a twisted piece of work.

you don't seem to like the anime on there it seems.. man.. Full Metal Alchemist is good :D

I love Adult Swim, but they're cutting back on the anime. (which is what made them popular in the first place)

I love watchin Futurama and Family Guy, and dont get me wrong Robot Chicken and Venture Bros. can be pretty damn great sometimes. Though the only shows I really watch Adult Swim for, atleast now because of their new block format, is on Mon-Wed. Inuyasha and Full Metal Alchemist. After those two shows are done, I turn the tv off. It isn't because I have anything against Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Infact I sometimes watch that too, thing is I am wanting to buy the series so I try not to watch much and spoil it for myself.

I love saturdays too, got Toonami with new Justice League Unlimited and new Teen Titans. Then later on Adult Swim new Inuyasha and Samuria Champloo. I can't remember if Full Metal Alchemist comes on on Saturdays.. but if it does id watch it too. The new Saturday shows, Paranoia Agent and S-Cry-Ed I don't much care for. Paranoia Agent is.. interesting though, seems like every character in that show has some kind of mental problem, it's decent. Scryed.. first episode didnt convince me any.. so im not "sold".

It used to be only Sundays where the "funny/stupid" show days. I've never been a ATHF fan.. the show is utterly stupid, even though i sometimes find myself watching it just because its on. SeaLab ... just as stupid, and only sometimes slightly funny. Hell... Harvey Birdman was way more amusing than both of those shows combined, and that doesn't say much. Robot Chicken and Venture Bros. is the only thing sundays have going for them in my opinion.

Seriously, they need to bring back more anime. What do you think got them started up? Anime like Dragon Ball Z and Cowboy Bebop is what launched them to what they are today. Used to be a small 2 hour block of shows, and 75% and even for a little while 100% of that was anime.

The only other place I can watch anime on tv is G4 >.> which isn't bad, when they manage to show some good anime on their Anime Unleashed block like R.O.D. (Read or Die) or hell.. even Gad Guard wasn't so bad. Gungrave though (what they are currently re-showing) is crap.

Funny, my ratings are almost opposite TrippyHippy. I absolutly love most of the animes they show like case closed, full metal, ghost in the shell, lupin the 3rd (old classic, why animation is so different), etc (except bigO). It's the random stupidity shows that make me turn off the tv like ATHF, sealab, harvey birdman, tom and the mayor, etc. They are just so dumb and have no plot that I can't stand to watch them. Family guy and Futurama fall in the middle for me. They are good shows, but feature so many reruns now that their shine has kind of worn away.

I suppose their program line up just goes to show their attempt to appeal two very different audience bases.

Fullmetal Alchemist 4

I demand a recount!

ok, I give it a 3 instead.

I like some anime. Trigun and Cowboy Bebop kicked ass when they were showin those.

I just finished watching Samurai Shamploo for the first time ever and I'd have to give it a 8. It was pretty cool.

I have a hard time watching shows where the main character is a child.
Even old episodes of Dragonball are kinda boring to me, even tho I love DBZ.

Man I'm wishing that I had Cable right now lol. I would never be able to go to sleep while that is on.

Only thing is that I saw all that anime the first time around when they used to have it for download on Animesuki so i dont think i can handle the dubbings that they put on them. Sometimes they get the voices all wrong.. ok most of the time.

I'm really wondering how Naruto is going to be done on toonami when it finally gets aired here.

/em shudders at the thought of Naruto being voiced by Ash Ketchum and Kakashi sounding like Dr. Oak or some reject from Yu-gi-oh!...

Paranoia Agent gets really REALLY cool as the series goes on. I've seen the whole thing and it's a great trip if you like this type of anime (by "this type" I mean things like Lain, Perfect Blue, Boogiepop Phantom, etc.).

My 5 Favorite Adult Swim Shows
1) FLCL
2) Trigun
3) Family Guy
4) Futurama
5) Case Closed... i like mysteries what can i say.. its not that bad

The anime on AS has gone sharply downhill since it first aired. I don't even watch Saturdays anymore.

Also, Tom Goes to the Mayor is fucking comedy platinum and if you disagree with that then you are wrong.

I guess I'm the opposite of Rones, as I absolutely love all the silliness of ATHF, Tom, Family Guy, Harvey, Futurama, Home Movies, etc. I never got into the animes that much, with the exception of Cowboy Bebop, and I think Case Closed and s-CRY-ed are just plain dumb. Paranoia Agent looks like something I'd greatly enjoy while illegal, however. We'll see.

I'm not even quite sure what the hell kind of humor Tom Goes to The Mayor is even suppose to be, it does however.. come off as being incredibly stupid. I guess I would be the complete opposite of Cubs.

Sunday suck ass to me, while Saturdays are much much more enjoyable. As I said before IMO the only thing Sundays have going for them is Robot Chicken.

I'm with Rones, I love watching the anime they have. I also like ATHF and Sea Lab, but both of those have gone down hill in the latest season. I liked Case Closed, my friends and I would have a nightly game to see who could get the killer/method(I won ^^). They've finally gotten to a cool arc in Inuyasha, although the dubbers they can't get a name right to save their damn life. Characters are fine, but they've changed the names of a bunch of titles for no reason.

I've started watching the anime on G4, since I've seen all of the anime they're offering on adult swim currently. They've started showing Gun Grave, which starts odd, but it's getting better. Before that, they were showing Read or Die, which is awesome.

I can't wait for Fall, when cartoon network is getting Naruto. Steven Blum voicing Kakashi will rock.

Oh, and tom goes to the mayor actually sucks the intelligence out of your head it's so dumb.
