I watched em today for the first time, what do ya'll think?
I, personally, am pumped for this movie. I think it's going to be awesome. Probably a little bit confusing, but still chock full of awesomeness. I'm actually thinking of playing VII again to remember the storyline better.
has anyone seen a release date for these yet?

I don't believe they've given a firm release date yet. Over at 1up.com, they have 3/14/05, but I think that's just a guess. Rumors have it that the PSP version will be released as a launch title for the PSP.
