i just picked up this months electronic gaming monthly mag, Which is focusing on all the new FFVII spin offs,
and the push back is so we can get the special edition the same as japan.
only problem is..>The special edition will be 300 dollars, Which id rather use to buy an xbox 360.
I really want the special Re-release version of the PS1 FFVII tho :/ that and the cloud and fenrir figure are the only things that seem worth it....but not at that price.

And a direct quote from SE in this mag states
"There will be no ps3 FFVII remake, the tech demo was made to show off the systems graphics. This and this only. "

and this quote from the president of sony...which makes me look forward to the PS3 much less.

"I will not be announcing the price of the PS3 today, im going to only say that it'll be expensive"

That quote, has made me lose all faith in sony...which i lost most of it when they lied to us about the HDD and all the stuff coming out for it....that never came..

But, the other games are lookin spinning off FFVII are lookin pretty cool, im really interested in the Zack based game for psp and dirge of cerberus looks sweet too.

Cant wait for advent childeren, readin the article has left me with many questions, i need answered by watching the movie!!

How much you wanna bet that'll be BULLSHIT, lol S-E can't do that...shit they see some sort of sell out money maker BOOM Enix automatically to the source...I bet they're still considering the possibilty

I really hope they dont remake FFVII, nothin ever good comes from a remake. And i wasnt a VII fan tho either, but i wouldnt wanna see any FF remade.

Everyone download this movie...you cannot wait any longer.
It
Is
GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!!1!!1ONE11ONE!!!

I'd only really want FFVII remade with better graphics and maybe a few extra optional bosses harder than the weapons but that's not necessary XD and I wish I had 300 dollars to spend.

Why are those bastards making every concievable spin off rather than getting their hands dirty and making an honest to god FF7 sequel/remake!? They better be careful before they clutter up the storyline too much.

FFX wasn't crap.. FFX-2 on the other hand :\ FFX-2 was indeed very much crap. FFX.. the only downfall I'd say was the way the world movement was set up. It felt more constricting and less free than the other FFs. The Sphere Grid was fun, in my opinion.

Sphere grid sucked balls, bring back materia!

Or bought magic, magicite, or hey, just bring back defined jobs and have only certain characters learn certain magic!

Any of these options would be better.

ffx and ffx-2 sucked and to think any differently then well you must be completely insane :)

whens FFXII out?

how was FFX bad? Characters and their designs were good (as in their development), the world was amazing (In terms of how they showed the world with a religion, government, etc.. felt more like a real world), the story was fairly interesting. Seemed basic from the start but then got much more complex and showing the world's history and how people were blinded by the religion/government, the graphics were of coarse beautiful, the music was splendid, the battle system was not too much special from another but the switching of characters during battles was a nice addition and the order line up on the upper right side, the summons were fun cause you could control them, the characters overdrives were interesting and how you shaped them was fun. The Sphere Grid was a welcomed change to the standard experience system, in my opinion. The fact you could choose your own path for certain characters felt a bit more freeing. I don't see how this was bad other than the one downfall of how you explore the world.. no real free roaming x.x

The graphics were good, and the battles were pretty fun. That's about it. Plus, the random FMV's were kind of annoying.

"let's show 2 seconds of FMV water, then switch to the in-game engine for 30 seconds, then let's show Tidus's face in an FMV for about half a second, have a bit more in-game, then let play resume! It'll be sweet!"

Not a big deal, but still annoying.

The main reason people prefer a materia system is because it allowed for all of your characters to be basically the same. Overall, it killed any form of strategy Final Fantasy VII could've possibly had because you could take any character and trick them out. With that said, I liked Final Fantasy VII, but its materia system was extremely broken.

Final Fantasy X, although not the best game in the series in my opinion (yeah, it's far from the best one), actually had a system that required thinking - and this is why I think people disliked the Sphere System. I enjoyed the combat system of Final Fantasy X to be very great, let alone having the freedom to do whatever you wanted in the Sphere Grid System. Sure, you could basically make each character the same, but it took a lot longer. Storywise, though, this game was very lacking and way too linear for my tastes.

Give me another Final Fantasy VI and I'll be happy! Actually, if there was a game like Final Fantasy VI (story, free roaming world, not extremely easy if you don't powerlevel, espers, etc) that had a combat system like Final Fantasy X, it'd probably take the number one spot on my chart.
