af quest reset

I decided that I wanted to lvl thf again, but before I had dropped the AF knife and hands, thinking i'd never touch thf again. I assumed it was no big deal, cause I can just reset memory and do the quest again. Buuuut, when I talked to the guy, he didnt give the option to reset thf memory, just other jobs. Im wondering, if I wanted to get the knife and hands back, do I have to do the entire thf set, then reset memory. Or is there a better way?

I think you must do them all. I've completed AF1 for several jobs and dropped the weapon, and when I last went to reset memories I was only able to reset the jobs I completed.

That's correct, you can only reset AF once you've gotten it all in the first place *and* are currently missing at least one piece. Not sure if usually-crap-weapon counts for "missing", but putting armor into NPC storage will qualify it as missing. Though of course, if you're resetting AF in the first place, it's generally because something's already missing (either accidentally, or due to a change of mind like yours, or - most commonly really - due to AF+1 upgrades).
