Yes, and we don't want to see it now. Rufus is enough reminder that we're associated with Shinra Online, we don't need any more.

Yeah. If you're gonna force this style on us, get rid of that fucking trash.

TWO TINY LINKS AT THE BOTTOM OF MY PAGE THAT I NEVER SCROLL DOWN TO AND SEE IN THE FIRST PLACE?! WHERE'S MY TORCH!?

But didn't you complain about wanting to switch over to moderator approved entry?

Couldn't you, you know, just not have read sockpuppet/ad-bot posts? I mean, I did fine just skimming over them, so what's your deal?

Affiliates is fine. So long as they make fucking sense. Reeve might be affiliated with a bunch of losers who masturbate to everything FF7, but we aren't. Reeve might be affiliated with some arbitrary WoW Guild no ones ever heard about, but we aren't. This isn't Reeve.org. It never has been, and as hard as he tries, it never will be.

Sites that make sense? Well, since this is prominantly a FFXI community site, PlayOnline. Blizzards WoW page. 4chan since we seem to have a lot of run off, maybe even get a delorian and go back in time and add it, since a lot of people still find ancient memes funny. SomethingAwful, theres a few Goons around here.

The difference is that the things I complained about are visible or otherwise interfere with the flow of the site. The two tiny affiliate links are nigh-invisible. Just knowing they are there shouldn't bother you. idc about those as long as they don't link back to us. Edit: It could be worse really, considering the only "ads" on the site are the non-obtrusive google ones and the affiliate links. Better that than pop-ups, screamers, flash crap, etc imho.

I got no problem with the ads, or the current work on the site. Yay for free services rendered me. I can handle a lot of forgiveable 'obtrusiveness' if it keeps the site up.

I was thinking about it and wouldn't it make sense to put Somepage, FFXIclopedia, and other FFXI related sites in the Affiliates section?

Physically affiliated? No.
Last time I checked, we're on the same server as Shinra thus affiliation by locality.

However, FFXI affiliation - most assuredly.

Shinra doesn't play on our server, he just trolls our forums.

To quote your avatar, WHOOOSH!

ShinraOnline the crapola forums, not Rufus Shinra the crapola poster. Web server, not FFXI server.

I never actually clicked the Link. I just assumed it was Rufus' site.

"Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups" >_>

I really want to post a link in reply to that, but I don't want to be banned. D:

I was thinking
I stopped reading here, it's obvious you were lying.

We're not particularly "affiliates" with Somepage, Wiki, or Alla. They are crutches more than anything. I believe they're all linked in our sticky of useful links, wherever that's taken off to.

They should remain as such until we come to an agreement with the hosts of those sites which really isn't necessary. 95% of us know the URLs off by heart nowadays as it is, not to mention at least 2 of those 3 are strongly supported by IGE and similar agencies.
