anyone who come into saudi get a "IQAMA" kinda like ID card foreigners
its say what religion you following also there is checkpoints in all main entry to mecca and Madina

in cases none muslim did enter Mecca and Madina , he/she and all who help them will be jailed , escort out the county or/and pay fees

Actually, yes, we have CAN-AM golf tournaments all the time at home station.

And no, I can't say where I am, but ironically they sell post cards here that do, and it's perfectly alright to send them home. go figure.
 
An observation from the desert:

The services squadron here was generous enough to invest in a small gaming room with a handful of *very* high-powered computers. Suffice to say, they get a lot of use.

What caught my interest was *which* games everyone was playing:

1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
2. Command and Conquer: Generals

There are hundreds of different games out there, and within those two particular series of games, there are others that deal with different eras of fighting, but no... we pick the two feature warfare in the very area we're deployed.

In the past soldiers would spend their R&R time doing anything *but* fighting the war. What do we do? Fight the war on screen instead of real life.


It would be one thing if it was just us Air Force geeks doing it, but I hear that our Army and Marine brethren play a ridiculous amount of Halo. There's something ironic about seeing a squad of Marines who've been doing tactical movement all day, play Halo as a squad of space Marines doing exactly the same thing.

Tauro, you wouldn't want a colony out here. The landscape is really, really depressing.

man im a 3a0x1 they dont deploy us there are to many of us, and if i do get sent out there im comin to say hey :p
