well my brother(snowfox) was at poisonhand today (jujitsu robe), he been going there alot lately. Anyway there was this ninja songy cc him. Nm spawns and he(songy) provokes. Then sit there... minute go by still standing there.. 2 minute go by still standing there... (brother call gm) 3 minute still standing about 40% hp left gm replys. All the Gm has to do is come look, that all he would have to do, it be open and shut case. About 5 minute after he provokes and about 75% of his life the ninja finally come back to kill it. GM give the normal "I will investigate further"
even after my brother /tell GM all he has to do is log in. 8 people sitting there watching the ninja afk for 5 minute after provoke at least 2 gm calls and GM worthless as normal. They wonder why people flock to WoW and PSU.

The GM did nothing?!

STOP THE PRESSES!

ya I know it nothing new, but dam the guy sat there 5 minutes. If that not a open shut case.

unless you can confirm it's an rmt or botter of some sort, it could just be a normal person who was also doing something at the time irl, I've done it once or twice on some NM's and came back like 2 minutes later cuz of rl, though it does sounds suspicious

Ya it happens

athought never happen to me, but sometime stuff happen in RL after nm is pop or claimed and you need to go afk.

maybe they are like me. i always have to go to the bathroom befor a boss lol. tmi? too bad :)

You have provoked a mob, and then went to do something? lol If that isn't a bot, that is someone who has shitty priorities lol

That sucks, but GM not doing anything is really nothing new :/

on the plus side, Snow told me he finally got drop on that NM. :D :D

Seriously, it's not like it's difficult to engage attacking first and then go AFK.

happens to the best of us(*'-')

ZOMG!!1!1one!

::Flocks to WoW::

Well, the fact that the NIN was taking damage should have been enough of a reason for him to engage the mob prior to going AFK.

well I'm not sayin it isn't a bot, but I did do it once, mainly cuz it wasn't much of a real NM and it couldn't hit me anyway lol

Alright, honestly ... the chances of something pressing suddenly coming up, something that requires your IMMEDIATE attention the MOMENT you happen to claim a Notorious Monster ... something happening at THAT EXACT MOMENT, so dire that you couldn't even spare one more second to enter auto-attack mode ... well, it's incredibly slim, to say the least. It's so low in chance, in fact, that I'd say out of three people claiming that it's happened to them, at least two would be lying. Even stopping there is a result of being obscenely generous to the third person.

If there's more than a couple of people in this thread to come along and say that this incredible stroke of unlikely timing and excruciating bad luck "happened to them," I'd label most of it as retroactive excuses for being witnessed using such a bot. I have absolutely no qualms about flinging such an accusation to the wind; It's just too unlikely a situation to be taken seriously, in face of the far simpler explanation.

You may label me excessively skeptical, but anyone who seriously entertains this notion has to really think about it this way:

I mean, you could sit there for a random amount of time, somewhere between 1-3 hours, paying complete and utter attention to what's happening on your monitor, and then the split second you make a claim, that's when the sky falls all around you, and you can't even spare the time to press CTRL + A before you dash out of your seat? Out of something like 10,800 seconds that you waited and watched, the moment that the disaster took place was literally the 10,800th? Isn't that literally like a 1/10,800 chance?

I'm sorry, but no. Be intellectually honest, here. If what Hellstorm says is true, it's far more likely that it's a claimbot than anything else.

Your logic is overwhelming, and aside from the OP - it is very humorous but true.

News flash: If the GM replied, chances are they're logged in. Another gem of information is physical (lolvirtual) presence is not required to check on a player or their actions. Granted it may not seem like they did anything or will but mayhaps that's another name on the list for the next banning...

As for why people flock to WoW, SE gives a shit ... really, no i'm joking, Japan keeps that game alive and will until they close it down. It could have something to do with it being a better game with developers who give a little bit of a shit about providing content. If you think we have it any better you're sadly mistaken (hello 3hr wait on a GM to unstuck me so i can go rez). Aside from that our farmers are so much more benign, take your case for example .. fucked his whole afternoon i'm sure between the irksome useless inactive GM and the wasted time farting around in Davoi. Know how many times i've seen a farmer in WoW? ... Me either. :D

first off PS2 keep this game alive not the japanese(lack of mmorpgs). Plus ffxi gm are the most worthless peices of (insert form lower the crap here). That why the system is bad as it is because they do nothing, they don't "investagion" because if they did groups like tarutaru home and wwehe would have been locked long ago. They also do nothing to correct the issue. Sure they ban couple account here and there but with each banning more non rmt get hit then rmt, or when they do get rmt they go after the money mules which can remade in the day and all that cash on them char are gone, further spiraling the econemy into the great depression. Hell it getting to the point where some the smaller items not even worth putting on the AH, because the sales tax is more then the profit. What about these fish bots and provoke bots and my favorite pocket snifers, How long have they been using same old trick and every update they do only make it easyier and easyier for rmt to claim mobs. It going get point where you going see people gimping them selfs, because it going to take 3 months just to farm 1 mil gil. Ignoring the problem does not solve it.

Right. That's why the original PlayStation 2 models are out of production. And that's why a great deal of japanese players have been playing this game from its original release. Okay.

What? For fuck's sake, speak english.

Considering you don't want to cough up the gil for a Haubergeon for your warrior, I'd say that ship has already set sail. Oh, and it's obvious you haven't got a damn idea about how economics work. If it would take 3months to farm 1mil, then the value of every item in the game would drop drastically. and it would all even out. Sort of like what's happening... uh... right now.

You're pretty fuckin' stupid if you're claiming the sales tax of an item will end up costing more than the item itself and just makes me believe you don't
have a damn clue about how this game works.
