Well I had enough of farming for hours just to get .2 skill ups in crafts. Camping for hours sometimes days to get a piece of gear that I still don't have. Spending money to pop NMs just to get a 3 pack of copper ore. People not wanting to try out new things because they have no imagination, or would rather sit in whitegate and bitch about how they aren't getting invites to a normal party. Mages reliance on refresh. Japanese. The people that think they are uber because they have some hard to get piece of gear, yet forget that WAR has provoke. The bandwagoning. The people that call others bandwagoners, when they leveled a job for the same exact thing yet did it before someone else. The intense need to see your own damage do more than everyone elses in a party, then bitching at the tanks because they can't hold hate from someone just mindlessly spaming job abilities and weapons skills and top tier magic... Basically what I'm saying is I'm sick of the players and their shitty mentallities along with Square Enixs inability to truly fix what is wrong with the game.

This morning I cancelled all my content IDs, and will take some time off. BF2142 just came out and I've been talking with a clan that I have a good chance of joining, plus 360 is starting to come out with some really badass games that I can't see paying $50 a month on this game while I'm playing those. Maybe in the new year I'll reactivate my IDs and get back into FFXi, in the mean time though, happy hunting.

I often find myself thinking "Why do I constantly strive to get better gear, to do more damage?", aswell.

What is the point, honestly?

I think a break every now and then helps with everything in life, too much of something, even if it's good, is bad.

Have a nice break Shaunessy (if you're still off FFXI at christmas time maybe I'll have you a game at BF2142, looks like an awesome game!)
 
You know, you could easily just pay like $15 like the rest of us instead of $50.

Or you could pay estimatedly about $575 like Ailia did when he still played his account, and 15 more for botting purposes.
