I'm usually one to stay clear of political issues on a final fantasy forum, but didn't Iraq's government perform the trial which sentenced him to death?
 
But wasn't it Iraq's High Tribunal that tried and sentanced him?
 
No. I'd look for some support but its 5am and im going to bed. Iraq did the trial and execution. Look up some BBC articles.

I almost died when I seen that. O,o;; But then again, not too many americans watch Brittish television....

I think this whole thing was stupid.
Really, they couldn't let him rot or throw him in a pit of rabid Iraqies? Why now? Hmm?
I mean, really. All they want is this to escalate into more war and get more Iraqi citizens killed (which is, contrary to popular belief: A VERY BAD THING) and more of our U.S. Soldiers killed. I mean, yeah... Saddam was a bastard and all... But really, Mr. Big Bad United States. Did you have to go and do it now?

If they threw him into a pit of rabid Iraqies, there would be more war and more Iraqi citizens killed. They are gonna fight no matter what, they have been fighting hundreds of years before U.S. invaded. We aren't changing anything, and I personally believe that we aren't going to anytime soon.

The new prime minister isn't really doing anything to stop the fighting, he says he does, but hes shiite I think..Saddam was sunni? I don't know, but the prime minister has a friend or an aid of some sort that kills the opposite party. The prime minister wants "justice" aka revenge.

Yeah it was all iraq's government. While he was tried in the US for crimes against humanity, he was sent back to iraq and given another trial. He was found guilty by iraq's supreme court (or the closest they have to one) and sentenced to hang about 30 minutes later. US had very little to do, thats why everyone was so suprized he was hung already, because we couldn't get any news coverage on it, so we had to wait for other news sources to confirm for us.
