Age trick

Dont know if this was already posted at some point but...

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!



It takes less than a minute. Work this out as you read .

Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!

This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.



1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to

go out to eat.

(more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1758...

If you haven't, add 1757.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number



The first digit of this was your original number. (I.e., How many times

you want to go out to restaurants in a week.)



The next two numbers are




YOUR AGE ! ------ (Oh YES, it is!)

Why this works.

Number * 2 * 50 = why it jumps two places left.
5 * 50 + 1758 = 2008, 5 * 50 +1757 = 2007, that's why if your birthday this year matters, because the total is the year you last celebrated a birthday. Subtracting your birth year would obviously then give your age. This "trick" will only work until next year, and the numbers will then be changed to 1759 and 1758.

I wish this was a little more complex. At least most card tricks are hard to prove why they mathematically work.

Not really, I just like real creativity. Stuff like this can be thought up in under a minute. Hell, I figured that out while quite out of it on meds. If was harder than that, I'd leave it alone, or if it worked regardless of the year we're currently in. Since it's limited to this year and just dumb math, I think it needed to be ruined, in a spoiler of course.
