Aggroing and you... 13 simple steps to aggro things.

1. when you go into a zone with aggroing mobs, do not bring your own sneak and invis.
2. IF you bring your own sneak/invis, blame the fucking mages when they die, it's their fault.
3. the mages sole reason is to sneak/invis you. Remember, Don't tell them when your sneak just wore off around a couple of aggroing mobs.
4. The big red letters that say "The effect of Sneak is wearing off." "The effect of Invisible is wearing off." is only there to look pretty. Don't take notice of them.
5. Remember, always recast sneak and invis around magic aggroing mobs. They are not really aggroing to magic, they just say magic aggroing because they think magic looks pretty.
6. If you have to recast sneak, do it in the middle of sneak aggroing mobs. That will give your party a heart attack, and you'll be the center of attention for a couple of seconds!
7. Always cancel Invisible before you recast it, because it's not possible to recast it if you have it on. Ignore them if anyone tells you otherwise, they are just there to kill you.
8. if the mob have true sight, run up to it and /poke it in the eye with sneak, deodorize and invis on... because obviously it won't aggro then.
9. You are god. That means that you can aggro the entire zone and zone into the next area, because you just have to warp htem back to their original positions. Remember, ocne again you will be the center of attention and everyone will love you.
10. If you get aggro from 3 IT mobs, ask everyone in the party to help you kill them, and then blame everyone else for dieing.
11. If someone else aggroes 3 IT mobs, please. try to save them by provoking the monsters, because obviously your party will enjoy raising another corpse.
12. Undead hate the smell of blood since they are dead and don't have anything. So you can easily run up to them without aggroing them since that'll kill them.
13. Last, and most important, put your WHM in dannger by forcing them to raise you, and then sneak you, and waste all of their precious exp by giving you back your exp. They will thank you for it in the end.

This little flame arose from an exp party I had earlier at, guess what? 68... in Kuftal tunnel. During the way to camp they aggroed this;

Guivre 5 times
robber crabs 4 times
Reluctant spiders 2 times
Sabotender Sendiendo 2 tines
3 tigers 1 times.
2 haunts.

And amazingly, in this order;

3 tigers, causing 2 persons to die. I refused to help them kill 3 tigers at once without sleep with a dead tank. Rest escaped (except for me)

off I go to raise 2 people.

On the way back from Altepa, they aggro x ammount of robber crabs but managed to zone into Terrigan, killing I don't know how many people.

one was afk, but zoned in a couple of min later, aggroing Guivre and dying.

off I go to raise him.

during this time, the tank that died and should be resting for some reason ran towards Altepa Desert and died from robber crabs.

off I go to raise him.

While raising him, he apparently goes afk. so I sit there waiting for him so that I can sneak and invis him once he reraises. a WHM comes and tractors him and he accepts, ok. not afk. He wouldn't have got aggro where I raised him, but whatever.

Sadly, he accepts raise near a haunt and aggroes it because of low HP, yay.

My sneak is wearing, and sadly there is no safe room to recast sneak. So I die (with one of the weakened people near me who followed me for soem odd reason) and telsl them not to touch it and let me die in a safe place so I can reraise.

anyway, this is getting too long, the rest they aggroed was in this order;

RDM guivre
DRK robber crab
PLD guivre
WAR sendiendo and spider
PLD robber crab
RDM haunt.

and probably other things that I forgot out of pure frustration.

yay >.> I ran around for 1 and a half fucking hour raising people. Eventually I just said "Fuck it. Next time you aggro something I'm out", and guess what? 10 sec later someone aggroed Guivre, after I said 10 times that spiders aggro to sneak, cactuars aggro to sneak, crabs aggro to sneak, AND GUIVRE FUCKING AGGROES TO SIGHT!

ugh... I gave up. Fuck this, next time you invite me to a party, please bring your own sneak and invis -.-

lol... I had that problem in an Exp party the other day. While we manage to avoid aggro, the whole situation was vastly frustrating. People, if you've got enough gil to afford a Scorpion Harness, then you have enough to afford oils & powders. Don't play that "I'm poor" card with me. Take the lousy hour, and go farm the freakin' gil.

This is why statics form >>; It's also nice when you sneak/invis someone and they just run off, then go some random way to things that noone else took, and then you have to back track for 5 minutes wondering where the hell they are. I usually wait a second to see if the mage sneak/invis's me at the beginning, then run and use oils from there on out.

You forgot a rule:

When going to Ifrits on a mission, Ignore the people that tell you to bring oils and powders. Those are expensive, and mages can do it for free.... :roll:

I think the second-most annoying part of the whole issue is how these people waste MY damn gil. >< I keep having to reapply my oil/powder as we cross the zone because they have to delay the mages over and over and over again.

it's only sight. either way, the places he is on you need sneak aswell, so more often then not you end up with both of them on anyway >.>

lol poor uzor. Yea ppl not being able to get through a zone is really starting to get old. The haku runs i tried to do before i got into my new ls were awful. It took somthing like 1 hour to hour and a half for ppl to get to the camp because apparently its hard to stop, click on sneak when its wearing, and reapply it. And yea...i think many ppl even at high lvls dont know that u dont have to cancel out invisi to reapply it...

What's my point? A group is only as good as it's leader. If you got enough oils for everyone then hand them out. If not, you get what you're asking for.

It took how many deaths for you to realize these people had no clue how to handle aggro? Don't you think that's a little too long to realize they were a lost cause?

Everyone keeps complaining about these people, but they keep staying in the parties still the same.

This is good advice. I should start demanding all my pt leaders pay not only for my stealth tools, but my food, gear, and spells as well. Because that's what leaders are for, amirite?

You see Cubs you think you're being sarcastic, but really your misuse of it is just you acting like an asshole. The proper use of sarcasm is when neither party was serious.

What I was saying is that people keep getting into parties where others don't have these items, and then when shit hits the fan they complain?!

Explain to me why you would stay in a party as long as OP did knowing what they did about it? You think they'll magically pull these items out of their ass when they end up needing them?

Of course they won't. You're hoping that gee, maybe we won't need the items. So you gamble. So you demand other people buy these items on one hand, and yet on the other, if they're willing to go without and push their luck you'll be right beside them when they do?

Well, I wasn't the leader, so what could I do about it? I joined the party.

Besides, I hate leaving parties. Which is the reason I more often then not stay in them even if they plain suck, but in that party I simply couldn't stay since we were getting NOWHERE. When you leave a party you waste everyone elses time aswell, and not only the person/persons that sucks
