AH ethics

I cant stand it how ppl put gear up for 1gil on the AH just to show off their stuff. To me, its just being too much of a braggart, but I never complain about it openly (not counting this time). This is why, everyday, I always bid extra low for a SH on the AH.

If someone is dumb enough to put it up for 1gil then.....too bad. And this isnt just so I can sell it to have a crap load of gil. I've actually been wanting a SH for a long time so....I would actually put it to some good use.

I just believe that whatever a person put up on the AH for whatever price, then they should be prepared for the risks involved.

Now, for the few ppl who put something up for sell at a much cheaper price on "accident" then I'll be happy to give them the item back. But if its just to brag....then you put that item up for 1gil knowing full and well of what could happen.

I know alot of ppl wouldnt agree with my tactics and alot would agree....its just one of those things that isnt really right or wrong....it all just depends on your opinion of the matter. And I just wanted to get my opinion out there. ^.^

I just found it funny that he started his bidding so low. Smart guy, but how long would it have taken him to get up to the 11 mil price, had that been the lowest selling price at the AH? lol

Sometimes people put stuff on AH and buy it to remove signatures, otherwise I'd completely agree. =/

Hmm...I didnt know ppl did that to get rid of sigs. Thats good to know. Well, still....if someone did that, they should be aware of the risks involved. But dont think when I try to pay for a SH supercheap off the AH I just bid like 100gil. I bid what I feel like its worth.....and I dont feel like its worth anywhere near 10 mil. So, if I was able to buy a SH for 2 mil and someone tried to flame me for it and expect me to give them another 8 mil.....I would laugh....on the inside of course, I dont try to be mean like that.

I would tell the person that, "I'm sorry....but for me, I feel like a SH is worth 2 mil and I wasnt willing to buy one until I was able to get one at that price." Thats the whole purpose of the AH. Now......that 2 mil I was talkin about was just for "example purposes". What I really think the SH is worth to me is my own business. I just wanted to show that people shouldnt pay for an item at the amount which is its 'trend'. People should pay as much as they think the item is worth.

First off Mithe was the Cross Counters guy JP? Jps usually suck it up and have pride when they make a mistake dealing with gil, NA are the ones that whine and want their gil back when they fuck up for the most part. There is honor in silence or something to that effect the Jps believe in. They make the mistake then they deal with it in silence.

Secondly AH bots DO NOT exist I don't give a shit what anyone says. I have had this discussion over and over with people. There is no way and no how people would not be botting these items that go up for 1 gil.

IF AH bots existed you don't think the botters would notice idiots like Oraox putting up a Kraken club for 1 gil? Botters/Gilbuyers like Versiontwo putting a speedbelt up for 1 gil?

THEY WOULD NOTICE IT JUST LIKE YOU AND I DO.

They would be botting these items 24/7 and busting these IGE morons all day while the rest of us sat back and laughed.

Do not argue this, the proof is in the pudding, if AH bots existed people would be botting Striders, Speed Belts, Harness +1s, Kraken Clubs etc all day and every single one of you idiots trying to show off would be getting busted.

I for one wish AH bots existed and ruined these people's day, sick of the RMT gilbuying morons trying to show off like they earned that speed belt or kraken. I guess when you didn't have to pay your dues to have large chunks of gil then you don't value it at all. You're not a fucking baller in my eyes, you're either an idiot or a gilbuyer.

There are AH bots(Or were, I havent seen em in a while).

It's programmed to bid an item for a set amount of gil roughly every 17 seconds. It was normally placed on Bolt heads, Gold Beastcoins, that kinda little baby synth shit.

If you want to get rid of signiture... why do it in jeuno? you can do it in the 3 other citys where there none of those expensive items are sold, so noo one looking at the item and bidding.

If you're going to remove a signature why would you put it up for 1 gil, why not set it to a higher number (comparatively to the amount of gil you have) as to guarantee that you get it back.

If anyone is stupid enough to risk it and lose the item, they deserve all they get.

Im pretty sure it's called 'saving face'..

It's also related to seppeku, sometimes their 'shame' or 'dealing with the mistake in silence' would be too selfish - so they'd take their own life.

Ditto...I cant stand seeing people selling things to themselves for 1G. Especially with the k-club. That's some down right disrespect to the club. Anyone who sells that club to themselves for 1 G must TRUELY THINK that it is "Only A Toy" Pffffffffffffffffffft. (5k dmg in 30s do you need it?)

I accidently put a sniper's ring up for 20K once, as it was right below the tree cutting I was gonna sell....Stupid mistake, but luckily I was aware of it before it was too late...Dowzer > Dowzer 20,000G

I dunno who's a baller with snipers rings, but I sure was loool Mistakes happen and I was lucky to get it back.

So ya, either column A)Idiot or column B) Buyer.

You can see where I fit in

lol Don't remind me of over bidding...
