Yeah this has been done a million times but I had to resurrect a dead horse to beat it some more-

This is more specifically to those of us who depend on crafting to make our money; I for one do cooking. I've been crafting my ass off over the last week trying to scrape together the money I blew on a bunch of gear for another job that's advancing towards more expensive equips.
SPECIFICALLY to my fellow sushi sellers:
STOP UNDERCUTTING EVERYONE, wait you freaking turn! Everyone's sushi will sell at one point, just keep the price steady and have some damn patience. Driving the price down means we all make LESS money or maybe break even on ingredients in the first place.
You impatient jack asses may just be trying to fly through cooking and get rid of your product but DAMN IT KNOCK IT OFF.
Stop messing with the prices and leave things as they are, it's been working fine at it's unspoken pre-determined price. At the moment I'm barely making a profit with everyone undercutting each other.
It's not a race to see who can sell more faster.

You idiots.

Really- this goes to all undercutting jack-asses out there who screw it up for the rest of us who rely on this to make money.

there is money in cooking? Fyi the price of raw fishes are undercut even more by fish bots... and sell for almost nothing.

Sellers complain when price gets too low.
Buyers complain when price gets too high.
...I need money.

Who uses sushi, meat ftw.

Yes there is if you invest enough time (and of course money into it). I try to catch everything I can myself rather than rely on AH. Cuts down my costs and increases profit~ and it doesn't help out the RMT. I refuse to even buy rice off AH.

That's why I don't even bother with sushi unless I fish the fish myself. Sole and squid in particular are pretty much dominated by gilseller bots, who seem to have no problem with undercutting to the point where NQ is just break even.

I don't like the undercutting, but I at least understand it. When you've got 20-30 inventory spaces clogged with product that has to sell before you can make more, a lot of people will get impatient. I personally use a mule dedicated just for the temporary storage of product waiting to go on AH, but not a lot of people have that luxury.

lets redo this thread as yay!!! cheaper sushi

oh and also i am 100+2 cook myself... and only make sushi as favors for people in large quantities.

Yeah this is why I only crafted sole sushi to get cooking to 85, and only did that because I can fish the black sole. It's very annoying, but there's not much a person can do about the RMT cooks. :(

Yes there is actually. Raw fish is expensive with the small margin on sushi though. It's really not worth it unless you get the fish yourself.

QFT, this is why I have 2 Jeuno mules dedicated to AHing stuff so I don't have to undercut the market to get rid of stuff faster.

Do they still only allow you to put up 7 items at once on the AH per character?

Not if it's costing the people who make it more money than it's worth..
No I'm pretty sure cheaper sushi benefits far more people than expensive sushi. You don't like the FFXI market, GTFO!

Maybe if you force the price of sushi to phenomally low prices the Sushi-Bots will GTFO themselves. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. ~_^

I always find that when I want to sell items, it seems it is being undercut. When I go to buy items, they are overpriced. It is a lose-lose situation :(

Hey Kero, can you synth me a Sandwich?
