Considering, on my BST, I can get up to chain 5 off the same 3 mobs, I do not see how the MANY MANY of camps ToAU created could all be overcrowded for any level 55+ party. I've exped in a good level 55-60ish spot for the past few days and have not saw one party... It's your own damn faults for not FINDING new camps :D I find exping in non ToAU areas a waste of time now. I get better XP per hour grinding out levels on DC-EM than fighting T-VT's in the old areas. Overall it just makes more sense to level in the new areas you just need to find the correct camps.

Main problem I found with doing that in the 55-60ish camps is there's almost no safe camps. Very few camps are safe from Fomor pops, which have killed parties there countless times. It's a nuisance I personally would rather not have to deal with. I know this doesn't apply to merit areas, but it does to the lower levels :\

Since I'm still leveling in the areas, the last thing I want to see is a party set up next to me expecting me to leave for them, lawl, I will only tell you a little tid bit of information you'd figure out through heavily exploring the areas. I have found 17 possible mid level xp camps. 14 in The Woodlands and 3 in Caedarva Mire. None of the Woodland camps are near Fomors (You don't even pass them to get to the possible camps), 1 of the Caedarva camps is aggro free while the other two are retard aggro onry from those blind "true-sight" Imps which, are good, safe, fast xp ( I'll kind of give you that one).

Try some exploring when you get a chance. Just from wandering around I found a lot of DC camps at my lvl that I bet would do great for an xp party your range.

My pasasion has been Mamool with my bst job. The places me and my duo partner found has supplied us with the bext xp we have ever seen outside of self destruct mobs.

Seriously, if you look around a tad I bet you can find your only lil camp where you'll never see a soul and all mobs repop before the chains end.

Solo in Caedarva Mire no XP ring bonus from 60-66 (minus about 10k from 64-65) was so good, it only took three days... Constant chain 4 for 360+ xp until about 64-65 then mid 200's and no resting due to sanction refresh <3... Boyhada wha??

Woah. The new expansion helped out BST a lot? I was having trouble with my BST at 65 when I played.

I have, it's pretty much everyone else who doesn't, which was my point <_<. All the "popular" camps people love have so many Fomor pops and when you suggest to move they usually go "It's fine here", despite the party has almost wiped every nightfall.

It helped gaining XP in general for everyone especially us. Also, the despawning on leave isn't bad as the re-pop timer is 2 min. so if you have at least two pets in an area it's a good camp :D The whole time I was in Caedarva I used the same two saplings on the same three boids.

Sorry to hear that ; ;

The expansion is so new I didn't think there were already cooker cutter areas.

I forgot everything I know about party machanics but aren't there better places to camp where there are no undead at nightfall?

Was it the Thickets you were in? If so, wouldn't the woodlands be a bit more party friendly? As far as I know only one stretch of hall up north has fomar pops at night... that leaves most of the zone predictable for xp'ing.

Oh little sidenote! It could have been a fluke but it looked like the Morbols don't move at nightime. They didn't have the zzz's over thier head like the crawlers but I noticed two that stayed unmoved till 4am.... one by where I was farming so it pissed me off.

PS: It's fun fighting new mobs...The AI on some of these new mobs is incredible, makes the EXP grind so much more interesting.

Cythe hit it right on the head for my reasoning. The AI of some of the mobs are amazing. I especially found this true of the trolls, even though they are supposadly stupid monsters in every other game I can think of lol

XPing in ToAU areas means 15% XP bonus, 100k gil or so per 10k XP, free Refresh/Regen/double food duration and easy mobs that in most areas repop in 5 minutes or less.

If you're going to drag people out of ToAU areas you'd better promise at least 8k/hour because spending time in Valkrum II is a waste of time. Maybe if you see the main Deco camp open or all of KRT is empty that's an alternative but there's so many more reasons not to party in the middle lands anymore if at all possible.

LMAOOO he said Valkrum II LOL!!

thats like the first time ive seen someone spell it right, lol. I called it Valkrum for the longest time, then i actually noted the spelling, and it is valkurm... but i still call it valkrum. it sounds better. XD

back on topic, i hvnt pt'd in the 60's yet, but i have merited. theres ususally plenty of spots for pt's, you just have to know where to find em. Caedavra mire full? mamoolja full? gotta think outside the box, go freakin' explore! wait i have a crazy idea! have an *adventure* go with some friends, explore the new areas, and scout out camps! finding a 'secret' camp and keeping it to yourselves might be a very smart thing to do considering the area's popularity :p

Lol. This whole times I've been thinking it was the ValkurN dunes...

I agree with the OP and Reynard on this-- however, when I got the expansion my search comment did entail the expansion areas onry. If this was a problem for anyone who was creating a party else-where they would know off the top not to invite me to their party. I was EXPing only for the sake of learning the new mobs and getting my IS for turbon. (Generally speaking, I was not too keen on exping prior to the expansion. The Expansion started making it fun again for me.) Now that I found this new love for merits and have exped at a great majority of the expansion camps-- Going to an empty Bibiky Bay is a very welcomed option to me. You can get very good exp there without other parties to compete with-- and during times where the expansion zones are crowded you are going to yield more exp per hour.

For some reason, as many will tell you, when the expansion came out people instantly forgot how to search a camp. If there are Ten other parties in the area that you planned to level at-- search another area. This should carry over not only to the over crowding in CN to the over crowding in the Mire.

I'd like to think that when the newness fades people will consider other areas, but there is no denyong that a cannon in the thickets (when not having to fight for mobs) is the best possible exp you'll get anywhere.

If its feasable to exp in Aht Urghan areas, then i'm all for it. But, I also think logically. I think some ppl are so stubbern in worshiping the expansion that they are willing to go exp in a zone that is overpacked, thinking that their gonna have that golden exp, but end up getting the dreaded 4k exp per hour.

Their so stubborn that even if they could possibly get 7k exp per hour in the normal zones (and yes, with the right setup, there are places where you gonna rawk hard on exp in the old zones), they arent willing to go because they've been spoiled.

Also, what happens when you find out that one of the pty members doesnt have Aht Urghan, and this guy has been nothing but nice and so cool before discovering this. I've seen pty members tell me to kick him out of the pty. I say, screw that. We'll just have to suck it up and go to an old zone. I'm not so heartless and cold that i'm gonna deny someone exp because they dont have the expansion.

Not everyone buy's the expansions. Are they gimp because of that? No they arent, although i'm sure most ppl will disagree and say that they are sadly.

I think the point that alot of ppl are missing is that were not talking down on exp'ing in ToAU zones. We agree with you, it fricken rawks. BUT there may come times when it might be neccessary to exp in an old zone. When it comes that time, are you gonna be too stubborn to do so? Or will you think it out logically? That was what the OP was trying to convey here I believe.

Real problem is getting asked to party, but then getting chewed out for not having your home point in whitegate. Used to be able to "grab a port, and i'll be right there" but now you've got a 1-10min wait for a boat, and a 12 min boat ride before you can get there. With all that I do..its just too annoying for me to set a hp there.

I did get a great party in some volcano off of fire breathing crawlers.. that was a nice party--even got to see the taru blm got popped by a fire breath once.

Overcrowding in ToAU areas = people to lazy to explore and find the gajillion other camps us BST pass every outing to see open. Good for us, most unfortunate for you.
