Yes that's right you bastards who are paying less than 1k per wamoura cocoon and then charging 100k for them on the AH. Fuck you. I need 6 of these for my puppet upgrade and there is no way on Vanadiel i'm paying 600k for them. Stop being greedy cunts and sell them for a fair price.

I don't mind paying 20-30k for 6 cocoons. 600k when it cost them approx 6k though? Come on it's ridiculous.

I think SE will see that the greedy assholes do this on every server.. and change it.. how fuckin stupid can you be you introduce something EVERYONE wants.. then limit the supply? :/

I see a maint/patch.. If not, I see one job I'll be waiting on.. The people who buy the shit for that price are stupid enough to not deserve their money.
 
You can always find off times when the guild has some in suppy. I got my cacoon in the middle of the day without any idea that they are always sold out...heh
 
Well I managed to get 1. So 5 more hours of camping it at this rate. I might try and get some LS mates or something to come and help.
 
Sounds like an example of marketing genius, to me.

Of course, it's also obscenely unethical, shamelessly opportunistic, and just plain exploitive. Anything similar would be incredibly illegal in the real world, at least in an even slightly regulated economy.

A 1k item? You outta find out where you can farm that shit yourself and make a killing. If it's being sold by npc for 1k then it can't be that hard to get to drop. Stop bitching and go make some money.

Considering the only place people have seen Wamouras are beyond a few sets of Garlaige-type doors (need 4 people) hanging around the Cerberus camp and are, IIRC, T-VT to 75s, they're not terribly easy to farm unless you can convince a LS party to take a 30-45 minute walk through Halvung and the Mount to get to them.

This statement makes no sense at all.
It's human nature to attempt to make easy money, hardly something one should blame people for. As far as farming goes, that is exactly what they are doing, they are farming for the item someone else needs, and apparently they do so successfully, so learn2farm seems to make no sense either.

Actually, if you are an MMO company, it makes perfect sense.
First of all you effectivly create content that keeps people playing the game because they want that limited supply item. Sure, some may quit over it, but most will angrily keep paying their $15/month.

In addition you create something of a status symbol. If it is so difficult to come by this item to advance, then those who will go through the trouble will gain status among those nerds who think highly of a person who achieved MMO success.


In the end it comes down to everything else seen on the AH. No one is forcing anyone to buy something at the AH, everyone can farm their own stuff, so the very first statement holds true, even if it's the other way around; To those who want stuff: Learn to farm! :biggrin:
 
yeah but botters will be on those NPCs and RMT will get worse lol
 
Apparently there is 1 cocoon per day which I think is stupid. I have 4 now just trying to get the last two. I haven't the gil to pay for the other 2 but it's getting to the point where it'd be easier to farm 200k than sit here waiting :(
 
Theres more than 1 cacoon per day. I bought 2 on one day when it was empty. Was never able to buy again
