United decided not to send us an email that our flight had been changed to an hour and a half earlier than it was. So instead of us being 2 hours early for our 9:00 AM flight, we're there 20 mins before the flight, and they wont let us on because they cant board us after the 40 minute mark.

So, here i am stuck in Tampa, because the next avail flight back home to winnipeg isnt untill tuesday morning at 6:00 AM.... &%$*#$

So i miss two university classes on monday, and at least one on tuesday. On monday i miss a lecture by the provincial court head judge, and i have a paper due for the tuesday morning class.... >_<

Apparantly, they flight was changed weeks ago, long before i even left winnipeg to come here. If thats true, and i didnt get an email, i better the hell get my air miles back

I'm sorry Mara! I'm sure your prof's will understand.

I'm fairly sure that's illegal, don't know why I think so, but something sticks in my head that they have to inform you if they have the details to do so.

lol United

Have had lots of bad experiences with em.

Oi, there's international plaza nearby if you have time to kill. Busch Gardens is about thirty minutes away (I think they are still opened in the winter time). Contact whoever you need to for the missed days and make the best of being there while waiting.

I've only got the one day here really, discounting yesterday anyways. I was at the Airport for about 6 hours seeing if i could get home on a different airline without paying Arm+Leg+Innocence, but no luck. So just found a hotel (Not easy since its the long weekend here, and almost everything is full) I leave for the airport at 4:00 AM tomorow, so i gotta get to sleep early. I'm at least using the time to finish my paper.

I'm sure my prof's wont mind, but even that cant make up for missing my monday morning Lecture with the judge.

My experiences with airlines since 9/11 make me think that they generally don't care about the customer, only about the bottom line.

Complain to the airport, not the airline. The airport is more customer-service oriented, and they'd be more capable of shipping you out faster via connects or whatever than waiting for another United plane. The airline is just the carrier.

I'm disgusted at United...
