I remember hearing a friend talking about these way back when, got bored and looked it up.

Anyone ever used these? or collect them?

I saw this http://www.airsplat.com/Itemdesc.asp?ic=AR-DE-SD87-80C2&eq=&Tp= and wondered how it could be less than 30 bucks >.>;

Are these treated like paintball guns with competitions and the such?

Illegal in Canada? Made of plastic? Just want some info. Thanks.

They're all plastic, so they're pretty cheap. There are more expensive ones have a CO2 canister in them so you can fire without having to re-cock the gun. The cheap ones basically have a spring in them that you have to throw the slide after each shot to prime the spring.

I've had an Airsoft USP for a few years, but I've never really used it.

I'd laugh my ass off if they were illegal in canada, that'd be declaring themselves as the most pussy nation in the world.

There are electric ones as well, some are full metal and can cost upwards of 400+ bucks. And yes they do tourneys for airsoft as well. I think you can get in games at the like splat tags and such around here, and I know they do like real life battles with airsoft but it seems more popular in europe. Stuff like this:

If you go electric its alot cheaper than paintball. You can get thousands of bbs for like 3 bucks where ass itd be like 20 for paintballs, and no CO2 costs is nice.

I've seen that gun before. What I like is that it actually loads and ejects the shells like a real shotgun.

As was said, you can get them in plastic or full metal in the more expensive guns (we're talking Tokyo Mauri) but what you really want to look at is the gearbox. A metal gearbox will cost more, but will last longer than a plastic one. Though for a shotgun, you don't have to spend much since they don't fire fast enough to wear it out as fast.

Depending on what type of gun you're looking for, it will probly cost anywhere from $20-30 for a good shotgun to maybe $100 for an AEG (Automatic Electric Gun).

Man, I remember when I lived in Boston I caused at least 100,000 dollars in Dmg with my friends massive collection of CO2 powered BB guns.

I enjoy playing around with them at my friends house since he lives near woods and over the summer when we usually get drunk at night its nice to pick up the guns and just go have little airsoft wars in his woods.
