As Dragoon, which one would be a better choice? Both are around the same price range too.
will 4 acc be noticeable? from what i gather online 4 acc is around 2% hit increase. Im trying to go for a ACC build and use meat. But besides that i felt +6 attack would seem to stand out more than +10 eva?

my gear setup is this:
at 51

Weapon: Mythril Lance +1
Grip: Brass Grip +1
Head: Walkure Mask
Neck: Spike Necklace (No PCC yet /sigh )
Rings: 2x Woodsman
Hands: Still Deciding maybe spiked finger gauntlets if i can get them assume this.
Earrings: 2x Beetle +1
Body: Brigandine (will be Akinji Peti or Scorp)
Belt: Life Belt
Leg: Republic Subligar
Back: Jaguar Mantle
Boots: Volans (thinking whether to get the Akinji Nails or Level 60 HUME RSE boots)

btw. Im using the FFXI calculator, but how do i find the evasion skill of a mob to input it? thanks =)

get scorp harness

use petih if you must until harness level or keep both

use petih for when you have decent acc vs mob and use sh for pure acc vs mob

SH, get a petih for the 2 levels and keep it if you feel like you have enough accuracy and want slightly more attack after, but i doubt that will happen. Penta benefits far more from acc and without merits you probably wont be hitting acc cap much, and plus you could always switch to meat

At 56, if no PCC ...

side note: can tiphia sting be accidentally thrown?

tried looking online for info on this but no luck.

thx

Go for the scorp harness, accuracy can be pretty low at those levels.

I'd definitely stick with Scorp, in my opinion.

You have to remember, though, that DRG will have slightly higher accuracy than most other jobs at the same lvl, due to accuracy bonus job trait. Unless you have under 85% accuracy, I'd go with the +6 attack. Additionally, you'll have higher accuracy then other 1-handed jobs simply because you are a 2-hander. Generally speaking, DRG won't have horrible accuracy problems unless they overhunt. What you have to consider the most, is whether or not the extra 4 accuracy lets you break 85% accuracy without sushi, in which case you can switch to meat, which is more beneficial then the +6 attack. If alredy break 85% accuracy without sushi, then go with the +6 attack.

SH and eat meat.

If he's on a 2h job he's gonna be able to eat meat no matter which of those he chooses.

SH. You'll be eatting primarily meat from now on and while the 2 handed boost did wonders for accuracy, it's nowhere near the accuracy boost of sushi which pre-update was considered the standard. If you're eatting meat and you should be, you'll have plenty of attack so focus on accuracy to get a decent level of both. Also, take a quick look at somepage, it has the best listings for food that I've been able to find and use the appropriate attack food for your base attack. Meat mithkabobs give nice attack boost, but it caps at a much lower base than other meats like Hedgehog pie or Coeurl subs that give lower percentages and cap at higher bases. However, if you're fighting something like Colibri which tend to take your food, use only meat miths since they are much cheaper.
