Alchemists and Clothcrafters beware!

Just another post about gilsellers.

As a level 27 alchemist, I was planning on making Jusatsu, Black Ink, Beastman’s Blood, and Bast Parchment. I go to Pashow Marshlands to farm leeches for the blood, and who do I find at the Hoaxmarsh but Asurathief, killing every crawler and leech just as fast as they can spawn. I know her to be a gilseller, as she is part of Rosehot’s crew from Gusgen Mines, and work on stealing all the mobs that she’s after. Unfortunately, she’s a level 50 thief and has Flee, and can clip along a lot faster than me. I log out in the Hoaxmarsh at 11:00pm EST last night, and when I get on again at 10:00am EST, she’s still there. This pisses me off immeasurably.

What the hell is it going to take for SquarEnix to finally do something about this? E-mails are ignored, GM calls are ignored, even large amounts of people quitting the game has only caused SE to respond by raising the auction house prices…

Yeah, up until a few months ago, I had to beat Foxgirl to the Walking Trees in Jugner daily. I learned so much damn chinese from them it's fuckin ridiculous. I still don't know how I managed to get 60 Woodworking from farming there. The only thing I can thank that dumb hoebag for is, that now, I hardly ever lose a pop.

OMG You know I had to compete with her for stuff once, she sent me a few tells in chinese and I told her to go to hell cause she kept stealing pops right out from under my nose. Then I invited my 2 PLD friends to join me, and the 3 of us drove her out of there.

Funny thing is I never thought about her being a gilseller. I just thought she was a jerk.

So anyway, my point is we need to beat them at their own game. Start party farming more and drive them the hell out.
 
Easy lol give them hell..... but the only way gil selling can stop is when gil buyers stop buying gil otherwise enix has no way to find out whose selling gil and they can ban a farmer by mistake.DONT BUY GIL but well people keep buying so there is nothing that can be done about this.
 
Asurathief is my arch-nemesis. It used to be Dyagya but now it's this one.

I've had many, many, confrontations with this person and I hate her. Actually, it's only one of the people who plays her that I hate. They all have different personalities. When I first met this piece of shit, I was checking the spot where she hangs out to see if their was anyone there. I only farm there when it's empty. Asurathief starts running around me and stops in front of me and checks me about 5 times in a row. This pissed me off so I started checking her over and over and over (like 100 times). Finally I got bored and decided to leave when I got a /tell from her saying "goodbye." So I ran back and started taking her spawns. Next time I saw here (in the same spot) she acted way different, this is when I realized she was a gilseller.

I have run her out of there many times. If you get enough of her spawns she will not get her hourly quota and leave. Sub WAR and it makes it easier.
 
One of my favorite places to farm is up there by the Hoaxmarsh , I see asuratheif there all the time. I usually have a friend with me ( I hate farming solo) and she logs out shortly after I arrive now. I dont have a problem beating her to the pops, I never realized asura could be a gilfarmer. I was under the impression that the Gilfarmers tried harder than that ^^
 
I usually farm with a friend. One /THF and one /RNG makes it much faster
 
Good the gil sellers keep prices down. When they banned the last group of silk thread farmers, or the stopped farming anyways the prices doubled.

I am thinking of the crafters Svina. With Asurathief there killing all the leeches, I can't get beastman's blood unless I want to pay 20k for it. I don't feel like paying 20k for beastman's blood, when I can get it for free for the god damn leeches. I know level 100 Leather craft is drastically different than level 30 alchemy, but fuck, I should be able to farm all my materials if I want to.

As far as I know, the only leeches that drop beastmans blood are the ones in Pashow, which is probably why it's such a fucking bear to get. I know most of the leeches drop Fiend Blood...but really, if there's leeches anywhere else in Vana'diel that drop Beastman's Blood, I've yet to find them. If anybody HAS, I'd be glad to go there instead.
 
That list is wrong. That's for fiend blood, which is a completely different animal from beastman blood. Beastman blood is used for, among other things, the Warp quest in San d'Oria. Fiend blood is just a common drop. As far as I know, only the leeches in Pashhow Marshlands and Werebats in the Bost....[tab] drop it.
 
I fail. Warp = Drain. Either way, Beastman Blood sells for 10-13k per stack while fiend blood sells for very very little.
 
I'm 100% sure Labyrinth Leeches in Gustav Tunnel drop Beastmen blood, but they're much tougher (EM-T to me lvl 46) than the ones in Marshland.

If Beastman's Blood sold for 10k a stack, I'd be more inclined to buy it. It's 20k a stack currently.
