Yeah, I'm with you on that, but I'm sure I'll be pleasantly surprised. Red queen's a good choice though imo.

I like Anne Hathaways acting, we may be pleasantly surprised.
 
I'm definitely looking forward to this. I think that Anne Hathaway will do a great job and will fit into the story well. Honestly I haven't finished reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland or Through the Looking-Glass so I wouldn't be able to say how close it will be to the source. As with all movies based on books there will be some changes. I do think Christopher Lee as the Jabberwocky will be good.
 
The White Queen is a large old crazy bat. I never said Anne Hathaway isn't a good actress, I said she doesn't fit the discription of the White Queen. I can understand taking a different creative angle on it so I hope she does a good job of being a bit nuts.

I agree that Cristopher Lee is a good choice, my dad has acted with him.

I loved reading the books as a child.
 
I see. As I said I haven't read the books entirely so I wouldn't know. I may bump them up on my ever growing list of books to read before the movie comes out.

Also, it's pretty cool that your dad got to act with Christopher Lee. :)
 
I recommend it, they're really good and at an older age you can find different meanings. They're actually quite dark, which is probably why Burton decided to pick it up.

Which is the very reason I think he will do such an awesome job at adapting it. Can't think of a better person.
