This was posted on another thread and it should really be noted by ALL (atleast the NA) dynamis. If we could get our JP Dynamis LS on it too that'd be greatfully helpful for all.. for now though I have signed up lolDynamis.

http://www.dynamiscalendar.com/forum/index.php?&act=calendar&cal_id=18

This will prolly help us all in the end. Let's not pass up this forum.

Edit: oh, Sculli.. do you think this forum URL could be stickied or something?

Edit2: or just use our calander (forgot about that). The problem is not many of the dynamis LS use it :P

I would prefer if we were to keep Quetzalcoatl business here at QCDN. A great number of dynamis participants are already registered members here, so it's really just a matter of getting the "official" schedule of the LS' that do dynamis runs up.

QCDN possibilities include the use of the existing QCDN Calendar and perhaps the creation of a dedicated dynamis subforum under Event Scheduling.

I think it will be harder to get people to register on a new site just for the purpose of using their calendar than it would be to get those who are already QCDN members to work on scheduling runs on here.

ya.. I'm fine with using the calander here :P we just need more dynamis LS using it. So far only 3 of the 20 or so dynamis LS I know of use it.

I am not quite familiar with the dynamis process. If one LS is running it in one town, another can not do the same thing at the same time?

sadly, no. SE didn't allow for more than one LS to do the same zone at the same time. One LS per zone at the same time. Hence, why organization and communication are heavily needed among the shells :P

Back in EQ this was a big problem as well, some mobs/zones were highly contested. Luckily most servers were able to self-regulate and come up with a rotation.

In order to be accepted into the rotation you had to kill a certain mob within a certain period of time without any help from guests. So if a guild was able to kill the VT twins in EQ in 4 hours, start to finish, then they were allowed into the VT rotation.

I am not sure whether one dynamis is harder than another, or whether one LS does them all the same day or whatever, but self-regulation is entirely possible.

It would be up to those who know the details to figure out what the initiation for an LS would be to place a new LS into the existing rotation.

Basically what we need here on the board are representatives of each LS that have the authority to negotiate on behalf of their LS. Preferably players who have some people skills because in situations like there were a certain degree of tact and diplomacy is required attitude gets one nowhere.

true.. one small problem we face though is that half of the dynamis LSs are Japanese :\ they don't know or don't care about this forum it seems.

But they do get equally shafted when they run into a scheduling conflict, or not?

They will just have to find someone in their shell who speaks some basic English and get that person to talk with everyone else. Chances to find Japanese who can negotiate for their shells in English are likely far greater than to find NA players who can negotiate in Japanese.

What are the names of the Quetz dynamis shells?

Perfect
Loveless
Invictus
lolDynamis
PinCKs
Third Stage
Heuce's (I don't know the name)
BoL's (don't know the name >.>)
and I do know there are about 3 other JP LSs but don't know their names.. I'm sure there are more than these though.

I know I could just google for it, but here it is anyway: Once an LS left, can the next LS immediately start their dynamis run? What about the same LS going for another round, or are people locked out?

Is the scheduling just an issue on weekends or druing weekdays as well?

Is a rotation as described above feasible and/or necessary?

also TheDynamisShow, owned & operated by members of Affinity (Foofighter, Arturus, & Baek I think).

I believe a different shell can enter immediately after one shell leaves Dynamis entirely. The only restriction is that you, as a player, must wait 3 days before you can enter your next Dynamis zone.

I can say that TDS hasn't seem to have any conflicts regarding schedules just yet, so either Foofighter's got a magical sense of when is safe to go or there isnt enough shells to warrant any worry just yet. Either way, I'd say the QCDN Calendar is probably the most effective means of arrangement, being the common ground amidst an exorbitance of private LS websites.

Yeah, see, that's the difference between 1999 MMO gamers and 2006 MMO gamers. In EQ it was inconceivable that a guild would jump on the turn of a different guild. The rotation was like ..., worth more than any law. It was an agreement that was simply not broken, for years and years, among many different guilds and players. No matter what your beef with another guild was, you would never ever, not in a million years jump on their rotation turn.

I can see how something like that would not be possible anymore during a time where the one thing many get the most enjoyment out of is to ruin someone elses day.

Guilds who were able to do these end-game raids in EQ would shun players for even suggesting to raid out of turn. That player would not be able to find an end-game guild on that server anymore. At least that was how things went on Mithaniel Marr and Tribunal, can't really speak for all EQ servers.

In the end it comes down to efficiency. If all can agree and stick to the schedule, then there is no time wasted for anyone. If that is not reason enough to do it, then by all means, race to dynamis. ;)

The thing is many ls's go on a certain basis, like we don't have a specific dynamis rotation, my ls, we decide based on what zones most members need wins in, or some other specific factor. Also rotations get broken as ls's gain access to new zones, and since sometimes a ls may lose, waiting a whole month for that city to come into rotation again may not be the best idea, especially if that's the last they win for say glacier access.

Better example: my ls, at this time wouldn't fight over a specific city, if another ls wants it sure, we'll just take whatver no one wants (unless we end up repeating sames runs too much). But when it comes down to northlands we're more aggressive in trying to get our spot, two months ago we would've fought over a windy or jeuno or sandy or bastok run when we were trying to gain access to glacier for all our members

As for how to decide, I think either a forum, or simply organizers keeping in contact via tells would work better than a calender, since people tend to not pay too much attention to those, especially if the japansese won't. I'd rather not use a calender if a jp ls (or new NA ls) can pop in at any time saying we're doing this zone and bumps us.

What I'm doing now is simply have a notepad file with names of ls's and leaders and send tells to them about our plans and discuss it personally if there's any conflict. One on one discussion about potential problems is best. rather than some calendar.

Would be nice if SE made mulitple Dynamis zones like having multiple battle fields for BCs

in the end most peopel will not be able to get into DY lol because everu 1 is in 1
Se should make it like that or make it easier so the LS in it is in it for less time not 3hrs maybe 1hr

umm... there are more than the listed dynamis shells, and I don't mean the JP ones. Problem is that there is no list of the english speaking dynamis shells.

This is because no one has mentioned them, or they are completely unknown of.

There was a rather complete list in the LS Recruitment Forum last I checked.
