At the following time, we will be performing emergency maintenance on all Worlds. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XI will be unavailable.

Maintenance operations will delete any reservations for Pankration matches. Players who are scheduled to participate in Pankration matches, those who will enter Assault, Salvage or Einherjar areas, or those who will participate in Dynamis or Limbus at the time of the maintenance, we ask that you please wait until maintenance is complete before engaging in these activities. Please note that we cannot replace items that are lost during the maintenance process.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

* The World Transfer Service will be unavailable starting 30 minutes before the maintenance. Please wait until after the maintenance is completed before attempting to use this service.

[Date & Time]
Mar. 24, 2008 from 10:00 to 12:00 (PDT)
* Maintenance completion time may be subject to change.

lol. In before "during my day off".

well, today is a lot of people's day off. easter monday

For a lot of jobs in america yes

Banks and insurance etc are usually closed, a lot of hospitality jobs are closed

most of the "necessities" are open still on shortened hours

Darn, and I wanted to do some campiagn battle for the couple hours I have before work to attempt to keep from being demoted in the next four days.

how many hours is pdt from CST/EST?

We're actually on CDT/EDT instead of CST/EST this time of year, which is why their time announcements say PDT instead of PST. ("D"aylight instead of "S"tandard.) Regardless, year-round it's:

Pacific +1 = Mountain
Pacific +2 = Central
Pacific +3 = Eastern

It's when you start converting time to other countries which may or may not observe DST, that you have to remember whether it's DST or not.

So how long is this going to last? my class was cancelled and i could actually play earlier...; ;

2 CST-4CST

or

3 PDT- 5 PDT

Noon PDT, 3pm EDT if they stick to the schedule; so in less than an hour.

Yep. GMT Speaking:

EDT = GMT - 4
CDT = GMT - 5
MDT = GMT - 6
PDT = GMT - 7

This goes until this upcoming sunday, when things go back to normal. It'll be standard again and everything gets - 5

IE: GMT - 5 again, the usual. Etc for others.

I'm not sure if Japan observes a daylight savings time change, I have noticed since our change recently the conquest update on sundy now occurs at 8am my time (PST) when it used to be 7am.

Other way around actually. It was standard time until earlier this month, and just recently changed to daylight time, and it'll stay daylight time until November. "Spring forward, fall back" - it's an hour later starting in the spring and in the fall it becomes an hour earlier (i.e. back to where it started).

You have the GMT conversion right for daylight time and standard time though. Just not the time ranges.
