All Worlds Maintenance (Sep. 16)

Yeah thats the good side. Though I was just gonna get myself better HP gear for AV, oh well ;(

Btw what mobs in einherjar resist it? I don't know about those either.

I'm assuming Odin since he uses this:

FFXIclopedia.org said:
Sanngetall: AoE damage and dispel that dispells all buffs. Used every time 10% of its HP is lost, with the exception of the last 10% where it will be replaced by Zantetsuken. (8 Times total)

Not completely sure if that's the mob they were talking about or not, so I wouldn't quote me on it, but it's a possibility since I'm guessing by 'dispells all buffs' it would erase any songs, haste, self buffs including SE and BW, and anything else.

Thats not resistant to SE though. I was thinking something that cuts down its damage <.<

Now that I actually read the question though, it was about which mob resists Soul Eater. /slaps self

Off topic: best wyvern helm ever.

I want to say the Marid boss that spams 1k healing WS every few seconds resists souleater. Not sure if it's a complete resist or just a reduction though, would have to ask someone who actually tried.

Also, doesn't undead resist Blood Weapon making a souleater Zerg rather weak?

Bloodweapon is a dark based draining ability, and dark drain/aspir based abilities have no effect on undead. It's not a resist (on Souleater) as in AV's case since on him it gradually does little damage, it (Blood Weapon) doesn't do anything to undead at all to keep your HP up high for Souleater to do constant high damage.

Thats got nothing to do with resisting souleater. If your bloodweapon doesn't work and your HP goes down and you have no cures obviously your souleater dmg will go down based on your hp.

Aye, and when we took down AV we did have a backup plan in the event that for some reason it took longer than 30 seconds or so to kill. Every DRK had their own dedicated outside healer.

It reduces the damage some, aye, but that wouldn't be enough to keep AV alive in this situation.

As it is, SE has managed to make it basically unkillable again, until such time as they realize that (much like the Goblin Drink) we're never gonna figure this out on our own and just tell us what we need to do.
