RSE QUEST SUMMARY:
This is a summary of the RSE (race specific equipment) quest that can be acquired from [GOBLIN] in the "goblin shop" in Lower Jeuno.
I've been compiling the information in preparation to lead my friends on it, and thought it would be useful to share it with others.
Requirement:
Jeuno fame?
Reward:
Race specific equipment (level 27-33 requirement to equip, depending on the piece) that gives bonuses that your race is naturally weak in.
You can do the quest many times over, and each time you get one piece of the equipment (body, hands, legs, foot).
You can only get pieces of equipment for your own race and sex.
Recommended Levels:
A group of 25-30s can do this.
What you need to do:
Every week, one race/sex gets a chance to do the RSE quest.
The race/sex progression is as follows:
HumeM -> HumeF -> ElvaanM -> ElvaanF -> TaruM -> TaruF -> Mithra -> Galkan
A week starts on FireDay and ends on DarkDay:
FireDay -> IceDay -> AirDay -> EarthDay -> WaterDay -> LightDay -> DarkDay
You can check what day it is by typing "/clock on".
Each day lasts 1 RL (real life) hour, so each week lasts 7 RL hours.

Each week, [GOBLIN] in the goblin shop in Lower Jeuno tells a specific race/sex which dungeon (either Gusgen Mines, Maze of Shakrami, or Ordelles Cave) they need to visit to do their quest.
You must find the treasure chest in that dungeon (which spawns in certain locations)
You can open the treasure chest in two ways:
1) Use a dungeon key that is dropped by certain mobs in the same dungeon (see chart below).
This key is EX (exclusive) so you can only hold ONE of each dungeon key.
This is the most common method.
2) Use Thief's Tools if you are a Thief.
If you open the treasure chest during your week, you will get a KEY ITEM called Magic Pattern. It's a KEY ITEM (like maps) so you can only hold ONE, and it doesnt use up inventory space.
If you open the treasure chest during another race/sex's week, you will get regular treasure, which can be nothing, some gil, or other stuff.
Bring this Magic Pattern to [GOBLIN] any time (does not have to be during your week) and he will give you an RSE piece of your choice (head, body, legs, feet).
