Ok sorry to be posting in this beast, but wow, this made me crack up. About as funny as the time in game when someone (long time ago forgot whom) must have been drunk as hell. So hes going off in LS chat about random stuff. Something bad happened somewhere and he makes a comment. Then....long pause....KAAAHHHHHNNNN! I was laughing for like five minutes.

Oh no Braydon, I totally got where you were coming from with the zombieness. And yeah, I enjoyed throwing that out once in a while at death :wink: .

Anderithe, I liked Suikoden 3. It got a 9.7 rating I think on IGE. I had played it a long time ago and only got into one person's chapter 2 story before I stopped. Without FFXI, I ended up playing it again and got all the people and just beat it a day or two ago. Great game!

I don't like names named after video game characters. Like for example... my avatar, Rock Howard... there's a JP person *I PT'd with him, he's pretty damn cool actually* named RockHoward. and yeah... i hate all of those CloudXXXXZORZ and shit... am i allowed to say shit? oh well...
 
My name is demi-original, only in the fact that only a handful of people know where it's from..
 
this is one of my pet peeves,

I look at it like this , sure you can name yourself whatever you want BUT your name in thi sworld reflects you and if you choose to name yourself something stupid or dumb than don't be upset if people do not take you serously. Personally the fact that some players do not take the time to be a little bit creative shows alot about them. there is no excuss for naming a charecter something uncreative doa freakin web search notice there are hundreds of fantasy name genoraters out there if you need help.

as far as funny names I have seen plently that were rather witty and rather funny I appalud those folks it took some thought. nothing wrong with a funny name but naming your charecter a respelled copy of a FF VII charecter for example is just plain dumb but hell its your 12 bucks but don't be suprised if some of us do not go out of our way to help you

My name isn't exactly original XD I named my character after the Good Drow Goddess Eilistrae, the Darkness Dancer ^^

I get tells from other Forgotten Realms fans all the time, and I even met Eilistrae's "dad" Corellon on Quetz lol
 
To state a better opinion from myself -
I don't consider any name unoriginal. I don't care if someone's named Cloud. Yes there's a Cloud in FFVII, but there's also a Cloud in a good dozen other games/movies/books. So what?
My only irk is when people have numbers in their name, it in most cases has little or no point. That and "babbleletters", i.e. XxXGokuXxX. Or something..
If it's like, a name such as Prisoner #01038, it's sortof neat. If it's EmoDBZ666 then it's just stupid. It's an MMORPG, not AOL.

The way I see it is if they have the name that means it's original enough,cause that means no one else has that named spelled that way on the server. Look at my name for example. It comes from Tranformers Generation One. ( The Original 1980's one not that new retarded shit btw)

NO it's NOT because Optimusprime was takin. (Everyone thinks that :x )

"Devastator" is my favorite transformer and "Optimus Prime" is the strongest transformer thus I just combined the names.

But I do see the point made about this is an MMO not AOL, but my AOL SN is DemonicPugtory but that doesn't seem MMOish to me.

I'd hardly consider mine original, being that there's an Ikari on every server... But at the same time, if I hadn't been able to get the name Ikari, I would've just gone for a completely different name, not stick Dark, or X, or whatever other junk onto the name like some people have the inclination.
 
Just a wild guess, Mai Ikari, Did you get that from Neon Genisis Evangelion or from other sources? :wink:

No one has my name...lol i do think mine is completely original considering...Ronith... Ron is my real name and Ronith is my chars' name in my friends comic he's making, then again no one has ever said my name was un-original but lol i've seen some bad ones ... the people are kool and all but the names coulda spent some more time on em
 
I wanted the name Ikari from Evangelion (Kanji for it can mean Ambition, so the name seemed appropriate), but being Mithra, and because I was getting tired of getting called squid (Ika) or Ikky, I added Mai to the name... Besides, can't RP very well with only a last name. ^_^;;
