Last i checked there were people cheating all over the place in one way or the other you just don't hear about it as often as it happens
 
I haven't seen anything that tells you how to do it or where to download it. Interesting videos though. First true example of cheating I have seen in this game. Not to sure what you are refering to Mokk unless you mean packet sniffing which is still a gray area.

packet sniffing, speed hacks, .dat manipulation .. take your pick

there's nothing listed really as how to use them save mrargus that comes with the pack, yes i did download it no i wont be using it save mebbe to sit on crag mea for a second as i am completely paranoid about utilities such as this, i barely run my windower :/

well, its the videos of the cheaters and pics i wanted, and well, if you wanna take the risk to be banned/have accnt keylogged go ahead, wasnt my intention... but really, its out there, which sucks >.<, SE should find these ahcks and stop them, but theyr to lazy to give a fuck what we think ^^
 
You'd figure with all the other MMO games out there with kinda almost 3rd party anti-hack programs (gunbound, L2, etc.) SE would've made a half assed attempt at guarding this with a prog during load :?

Nah, once you find out that that thing is, there is a loop hole u can get into, as in life, theres always a loop-hole, like the Law has one... just gotta find it, there is always a loophole to be found in every circumstance :)

as i said, it wasnt the cheat programs that i wanted to share, its the pics/vids of the cheaters, and what they do, known this is a 3rd party program, 90% chance it has a key logger, so once u log in it records your password, sends it to someone (most likely the person who made the program(s)), so is that a real risk u want to take? dl the program, have your acnt stolen (chances rnt that hard with 3rd prty programs), get suspended for 3days (or banned permenetly for violation the ToS?) its all up to you, i dont encourage DL the program, im 100% AGENST DL'ing, just wanted to get the vids/pics up there to share... nothing more, and evidently some idiot posted the cheats, not the way i wanted to, i wish it was deleted, but owell,
 
to the recycling bin it goes .. good thing i'm broke and had to canx FF for a couple days :/ was almost tempted to use the jump thinger to goof off -.- not worth the risk to my account let alone the items i have on loan from friends from time to time, my bad :oops:
 
I didn't see the download option later in the thread. Most of them say you can't use it though except with JP version of the game, but I'm not testing it.

Packet sniffing was a grey area I mentioned, not very solid proof for it. I haven't seen any speed hacks yet (at least didn't see any in those videos). .DAT manipulation isn't what I would consider a cheat. It isn't giving you an advantage over anyone or letting you do anything special, it just changes the appearnce of characters and mobs. Everything still functions the same. So this is still the first real cheat I've seen in ffxi.
 
there was a speed "glitch" reffered to in the linked thread but otherwise i haven't noticed much either however i would personally consider .dat manipulation a cheat as would the ToS .. i have to cycle through all the fodder for a claim, why shouldn't everyone else? iono, just seems kinda silly to me, shows a lack in faith of ability
 
Fraps is also a violation of ToS if you want to get picky.

I'm not to sure what you are referring to with this? .DAT edits do not remove monsters from targeting. You can modify there appearance, but they still have to cycle through targetting them if that is what you mean. .DAT changes are mostly used to just change player appearances and make the game more pleasent to the eye.
 
O, my bad, i had read somewheres that you could remove mobs from a zone .. i r misinformed. I love how the windower and FRAPS are ToS violations but bots are cool if you're at the wheel :lol:
