ok, heres the story. Necrosis and I were killin stuff in kuftal tunnel for fun and gilz, when i get a /tell from Istar, saying he was bored out of his mind. I invite him along with his other 2 parts down to kuftal tunnel to enjoy some spider beat downs for skillups. Well, everythings going all fine and dandy when all of a sudden, the gilsellers in the area dissapear. we had the spiders to ourselves ^^. more spider webs for us right? hehe. well we're fighting a spider when i notice a lizard walk behind us. "wtf? a lizard? whats that doing over here" i wonder...

O_O WTF!!!! AMEMET IS BEHIND J00 NECRO

lmao... ive never even seen this lizard before... and it just f'n walks up behind us. two skins split 3 ways. i mean honestly, this just turned a good farming outing to a *great* farming outing. and it makes for a great story :)

ok just needed to say that... now back to my research paper thats due tomorrow...
 
I've noticed Amemet has been walking around Kuftal instead of popping in only the big room.

This happened three times with Scwall and I so far. We really think they changed his spawn conditions like they did with the Stroper Chyme's. Or atleast Amemet acts like Guivre now; he'll roam a large portion of Kuftal until someone gets aggro/link/claim.
 
ooh maybe they did. that would make a bit more sense. cuz i mean, he walked out of the room thats swarmed with Sabotenders. And the last time i checked, Amemet wasn't green and prickly, so he wouldnt go and spawn in there. although if they changed it... that'll make camping a bit more interesting

not that i camp it or anything... lol.
 
He popped on that platform right when you zone in from altep.
 
He can spawn basically anywhere now, which tends to give widescan an advantage.
 
screw amemet, if your skilling up (or even faming stuff that skills 175+) send me a /tell!! lol.. i would not want anything from what your farming just skillups

having the worst time getting parties together. :(

Yeah, I've seen him spawn near Teriggan zone, and also near altepa zone as well... he has a huge spawn range now. Also, it appears the gilsellers d/c'ed when he popped... and I've noticed when Amemet's unclaimed he seems to take a Guivre-like pattern roaming around the map.

Good times though, easy gil =/
 
Me and my friend got Amemet to 50% today as the gilsellers watched us. Ended up dying though because my friend was PLD/NIN and didn't have any Shihei :/ I tanked for a bit as WHM/NIN but ran out of MP. They refused to raise us, but we got raises eventually anyway.
 
back a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago *when my PLD was in the low 60's o.o* my XP PT was trundling along thru kuftal towards the valley of omigosh i hate these mobs and amemet was just wondering around in the room, nobody camping him or anything...heh...killed and got 3 skins...back when they were 200k a pop :)

i might take you up on that :) theres a sabotender NM that drops a snazzy lookin dagger i want... just need manpower to reduce 1000 needles (and cactus stems sell as well as spider webs@_@)

I've killed amemet around 9-10 times now... and one time, this WHM got aggro from an air elemental, and i pulled it off them being the kind person i am. They warped (>_<) leaving me with a DC air elemental, it proceded to aerogaIII me twice in a row. Anyway... after I died, the gilsellers refused to raise me, saying "amemet killer raise {no thanks}" or something of that nature.

Hate to jack the thread, but a friend and I got luckier. :P We were skilling up on crabs when the sellers were fighting Amemet. When they got it to about 50%, they suddenly all disconnected.. my friend, me, and two mages who were doing ws points teamed up and killed it after that.

Grats Demon, it's really nice when little things like that happen every now and then. :D
