American Gladiators...

Disappointing

That sucked hard. Wolf was pretty badass, but there was too much talking and not enough gladiatoring.

Yay for cheap shows that studio execs think will fill the gaps caused by the writers strike.

Yaaaaay!

Gina Carano "Crush" is hawt. She fights MMA too. :nyam:

I didn't think that they did a bad job with the remake of Gladiators. Not exactly sure what you guys were expecting but they did not deviate too much from the original. A couple of new events thrown in and different style announcers.

Agreed. I enjoyed it for the most part. Shows on NBC suck because of the excessive amount of commercials, and the announcers would have sounded better if it sounded like they were announcing live, maybe with a little more excitement thrown in. All in all, I thought it was pretty sweet, especially the new Eliminator. Swimming under fire = badass.

Oh, and lolBarrelRoll

By no means do I think it is good television but I will watch it. Ninja Warrior is better but I've watched every episode multiple times. I need new human challenge type shows. Pros vs. Joes will be on again soon. I like the show but want less smack talk and more challenges.

Number 1 thing I found to be very disappointing was the eliminator. They used to put the gladiators in the pits when you failed to cross a challenge to slow you up, and also they put a gauntlet of them at the end with big pads to ram you with. Now it's just a half-assed obstacle course that I'm fairly certain that I could easily finish.

DO A BARREL ROLL.

I enjoyed

LMAO... word! i recall gladiators being filmed as an actual sporting event, you dont cut away to commercial once the QB takes the snap.

and Gina is a hawtee... but imho, its all about da HELGA

Growing up I never liked the show and obviously don't care about the new series. USA network used to play it all the time and when they would show the audience members I always saw an enclave of rednecks with mullets in all their glory.

...and they are officially out of ideas.

Whats really sad is that the original is actually better.

The part I hated the most was the camera work. I mean, they changed the camera angles every 2-3 seconds for no apparent reason. I felt like I needed dramamine to sit through the whole episode. Wolf is awesome though, I'd totally wear a "Member of the Wolfpack" shirt.
