An exercise in LS hilarity

Ok, Listen up, I'm only going to post once considering I dispise comming here to begin with.

The fact that this post even exists is a justification as to the reason this was handled the way that it was. As was said earlier, if the drama-qween didn't want attention, he wouldn't have posted here. Thus, just one more scratch in the "Why people like him arn't welcome in a LS of friends" chapter.

For the record, it was a mutual agreement amongst the entire LS leadership that was to remain, that certain members were NOT allowed in any further re-shellings of the LS. The fact that the LS needed to be remade due to certain people alowed to run-amok in the LS because of "Friendships" is, at the least, mildly sickening. For the record aswell, the prior LS had taken a nasty 90deg turn for the worst prior to the re-shelling, Cubs being the "Floating turd that wouldn't flush". Hence one of the major reasons it was born anew... duh.

As far as my being a coward or a bad leader in how I handled the situations, to those that want to question me, and how I do things, Fuck you. Anyone who knows me, will tell you I'm a Vet of 5 years in the worlds most elite fighting force and spent all 5 years learning how to become a better, faster, more considerate leader. I will break my arm a bit to pat myself on the back, saying that I feel that I've given this LS more than almost anyone. I've stood on my head and done backflips to try and help people and ensure that, while we had under 18 players, and even after, every respect was given to maintaining a safe, plesant gaming enviroment as possible.

This is not some 1337, uber, "I'm teh Sheetz" LS... "Never has, never will be", as what was told to me by the orig shell holder prior to his departure. I still hold true to that. And am glad to say, as being an intrugal part of this LS for the past 2 years, I'm THRILLED to say that we now have members that I've watched grow from 1-70+ and are still climbing. Granted, they have lives and arn't "Cubs" who has to be better than everyone, but god damn it, they are friends who can come in everyday and speak with eachother and have no worries of being offended, ridiculed, made to feel inferior, or shat on, by an asshat like cubs/jadey.

While were on the topic of un-fit leadership, SE (Cub's GF or whatever) will also have her Sac privlages removed. This decision was made amongst leaders to prevent any trouble from being allowed back in the shell (Just a fair warning to you SE, for nothing more than to avoid this... Drama.

If either of you has a real, viable issue with this, your more than welcome to present a case as to why your even a fit memeber of the LS's comunity. Seeing as that you've been on the chopping block for months now, and generaly not welcome in our otherwise friendly circle, I don't expect that any further consideration will be given to your requests.

In conclusion, if you like him, YOU can have him. But I'll be damned if his name will further hinder the view of this LS anymore. It's hard enough in this game to get by as friends rather than super-leets, than to have BS cause more termoil in the LS. Like I said, this post even being here is a credit to his shit-trail that he leaves behind him.

And real fast, to defend the other leadership, our Shell holder, has a REAL LIFE outside of game, and has been dealing with alot in RL on and off for the past months. And as such has been generally unaware of LS ins-and-outs. On several occations, myself, other sack holders, and even members, have attepmted to contact him to inquire about Cub's G/F's position as a Sack holder, considering the lack of leadership she presents. Oh wait... That ZM4... Oh, thats right, She needed that, and Cubs tanked it, how cute. That one act of your needs doesn't cut it for your leadership role sissy. Quit bringing it up. Your as much of a nussance and hinderance as him seeing that your very pressence makes my skin crawl as I remember you popping out from behind his leg waving your fist in support of him like some 4 year old behind her mom's leg at the bank. If you choose to stay with the pearl that you have, your more than welcome, than your inactiveness in the shell will remain on the back burnner (As LS members are not asked to go out of their way with any reprocutions if they choose not to), this seems like more of your stance.

If anyone has a problem with me, tell me, don't be cowards and bring it here. I'm a real easy guy to get along with and I don't hold grudges. Anything that I say or do with with reason and forthought. I don't act on whims, and I don't overstep my own boundries. You were a known Non-member of the LS, the only reason you got a pearl is cause your G/F gave you one. If she knew her place, she would have spoken with myself and the other leaders prior to EVER handing out a pearl. And no one, and I mean no presant day leader, ever said you were welcome back in the LS. If one of the uranios scum that we got rid of said you could come back, so sad, too bad, them agreements hold about as much credibility as you, zero.

In conclusion, I venture to think there is not a single member in the shell, and I'd hope, not a single aquaintance that I know in game that would consider me anything but helpful, supportive, and generaly a good guy to have on your side. Thats just my goal, I would hope that I wouldn't fail too badly at it. But in my experiances, the lonly people that dislike me, are the people that wave their E-penis around and get it stepped on.

Cubs, you were right about one thing bud, you havn't been around, and we havn't missed ya. You bring nothing but BS, lies, drama, and your special blend if idiocy to anyone around you. Your GF is welcome to stay, but your not. The only pussy I have is yours, and I'm wiping the sand out of it with a circular saw you waste of time. Goodbye and good ridance.

I get little Enough game time as it is to be wasting it explaining our LS's busness to anyone other than our LS. Not a pop-shot at anyone, but this should never have been here to begin with. It was a nigh flawless defense speech, except for the snippet of all too familiar "real life honors" defense, for lack of a better word. Whether you're the most talented med school student ever, or a 5 star general in the Green Berets, it doesn't hold much weight here. My RL history degree gives me no added authority when discussing Vana'diel backstory and lore, and therefore, noone else's real life position holds any weight in game either. Still, a great speech otherwise.

It would seem to me that the only reason you posted here Cubs would be to reveal some sort of inadequacy in the leaders of the shell, and hope the band wagoners would.. um... (hop on the bandwagon?) and start flaming BF. And, sadly, they normally do. But in this case, I really can't say they did anything inheritantly wrong. As said before, after breaking your shell, I would have shot SE a tell letting her know why.

Other than that, I really see no reason why you would post here, unless you were hoping to provoke a flame war. This feigned attitude of you just finding this a bit funny would have been more sustained here if you hadn't posted at all. That's no fun for the flameboard, I understand, but you can't say that this doesn't bother you. It must, otherwise this would have just stayed between SE and yourself, and chuckling about it in front of the fireplace while sipping brandy. But instead, you brought it here... the Flameboard no less... just to share. And you did flame them.

Honestly, I get a good laugh from some of the stuff you post. It's funny, topical, and you are more than usually very informative. But, to me, a lot of your posts seem cocky, and that can get very annoying in a social LS setting and can lead to many misunderstandings. I'm with Deathdealer on this one, I'm gonna say the LS mates did the right thing.

I know they just don't dump an infantry unit by the side of the road at random times or because he sneezed while someone was giving orders and then not tell him why.

Revisionist history doesn't work, especially since during the time of the reshelling I was sent numerous tells by Palidine and other sackholders asking why I wasn't in shell, where I could go to pick up my pearl, and so on. Not to mention not two weeks ago Pali saying expressly to SE how much he missed me in-shell and how much he'd love it if I were back.

Aside from that 3 month period or so where you were removed from the shell for being a whiny little shit and cussing leaders out in-shell? Or all the pissy dramabombs you dropped every time you lost to Maat/lost a NM claim/didn't get a NM drop? BTW, did Keeper of Halidom ever drop for you? Or that time you faked quitting for about a week in your bazaar and search comments?

If being successful in-game while still having 'a life,' as you put it, makes other jealous or feel inferior, well jeez I sure do feel sorry. And if you can go ahead and bring up any specific times I 'shat on' anyone in LS chat, feel free. Because I'm interested in any other lies you can cook up to justify yourself.

Moral of the story: People outgrow social LSs that run in place for a year and a half and degenerate in quality due to lack of leadership. I spoke to Elebfrid (the previous shellholder) yesterday about all this. He seems to understand the situation. I can understand why you wouldn't, DD.

This entire thread is an inside jobe. If it becomes a flame war (and with DD posting, it probably will) then so be it. My "I Quit" post last April Fools' was another inside joke. A little more obvious that time, but still, good fun and something I laugh at every now and then. There are some other posts/threads I've made/not that serve as inside jokes that are far enough out there that noone else on QCDN would get them.

Because, you see, Linkshells, Final Fantasy XI, and the Internet are all such serious business, Excim. Realize that while reading all of DDs flame on me I was cracking up the entire time. If I come off as 'cocky' or as 'the turd that doesn't flush' or whatever, hell, so be it. It doesn't bother me. It's never bothered me. I don't come onto message boards/internet video games and beg to be loved by everyone. I'm glad some people respect me, or at the very least, get some entertainment from my postings. But whether or not you 'like' me or want me in your LS or anything of that nature is totally up to you.

I don't fault DD for not liking me. I don't fault Mattaru for his beliefs in my leadership. They're people with their own emotions and thought processes and if anyone wants to hate/dislike/flame me for who I am or how I conduct myself, I fully support that.

Yeah you're "Mr. Not Appearing in this picture" ass missed it on the easy times lol. We only had a few people and the arcana bombs poped just before Shikigami. The other team beat us to it.. apparently Rik just missed it, and of course they got the drop. lol good times!

Just for the record on this. I approached SE about joining a run if I set it up myself, not bugging her to set one up. You may not have intended to convey a condisending tone, though.

And on this whole issue. I've never had issues with either you, or DD. While DD has helped me out with AF and whatnot, I'm not carrying any biases. I will say, however, that a flame wasn't particularly necessary. BF, while not the most productive LS, has a core group of good people. Sure, like with any LS, there are people you would rather see elsewhere... but it's not a huge issue. I think that keeping this a personal matter would have been more than sufficient, rather than involving the LS itself.

I've been in BF since my first day in game, probably becuase I'm good friends with Pali in RL....

I haven't asked him about any of this, becuase frankly we have enough drama in RL, and play this game to relax.

I do know that Pali had no problem with Cubs being in the LS, but as far as I can tell has no problem with DD's decision either. DD is one of the only members that actively tries make the LS a better place by orgainizing events, and laying down the law when necesarry. I know he had to put me in check more than once for naughty chatter and I myself am a sack holder, heh.

I think the fact that any thread involving Big Funn is in on the flame board is ridiculous. Why would you call out our linkshell as oppossed to just confronting DD directly? We as a group have always welcomed new comers, and done everything within our capabailities to help one another, and the server in general.

If you want to try to get people to turn against DD for what he did, I think it is quite obvious that won't happen. When it comes down to it, DD is a true Big Funner through and through. He always has, and as long as he continues playing, will always be there for us.

For the Record

I don't care enough about this issue to borther reading it. Heading to work so don't have much to say either.

Being blunt, cubs is a member of my LS AB (AstralBurn, for those of you who don't know), not only a member but a sack holder.

Not only does he have very good leadership skills, he is fair, honest, and direct with LS members. He provides a ton of useful info to the LS about various things related to our goals at this time.

I feel he has been a huge part of why we have progressed sofar so fast, as I work alot and don't have as much time to deal with day to day issue's as I would like to be able to.

He is 1 of many good people helping out each and every day on various things. I am glad he is a member and a sackholder in AB, and any LS should feel lucky to have members such as him.

So if anyone questions his ability to lead, I guess this clear's things up. The pile of SMN's who have alot more exp, YYR's, and mittens speaks volumes compared to someones opinion from a LS who isn't on anyones radar.
