An idea for a Bazaaring

Hey, I notice a lot of people bazaaring nowadays. However, I notice a lot of characters bazaaring are probably mules. So I was thinking, you know how hard it is to get that good deal? And how long it takes to cycle through every single bazaar person in windhurst woods/bastok markets/south sandoria?

I wonder what people would say to a Bazaar Linkshell. So you can equip it if you're looking for a good deal and bazaar people could have it to if they wanted to advertise their goods. I think it'd be a LOT better than listening to all the shouts. It's just a thought....

That is a good idea....did it in eq and it was always full of ppl....i just dont like having to unequip ur shell....why oh why cant channels exist in ffxi?

That's a great idea! If enough people had the linkshell it would completely eliminate useless shouts in the cities. I almost never have my shouts turned on unless I'm outside town just because everytime I do my screen gets spammed fast then sitting between three battling parties.

I'd be all for helping out with something like that. We could start recruiting on the Linkshell recruiting board.

immagine if everyone whoever shouted something to sell, were in that LS...... soo much spam its unbelieveable, you wouldnt even see what people have to sell.

I was just thinking.....for people who do mad bazarring, what if you posted the items you awnted to sell (but haven't been selling for the past 10 days). You could just post on the events board or something and then someone could respond and it could go for the first poster who agreed.

I was thinking this may be good for items you can't really put on the AH, or just that you ahve so much stuff you can't put all of it on the AH at once. Ex. Mannequin pieces or maybe like Shaman garlic? I have five of those and I can't auction it off..hehe.. But stuff like taht.

java: Yeah, having one LS for the whoel server would be absolutely maddening to try to go through. I mean, anyone who's ever used mIRC will know exactly what it's like to see three hundred people in one chatroom trying to send out their ftp information periodically.

But, if we could do something like having a link shell for each area... One each for Bastok, Windurst and San d'Oria (for example). Lets say all the people selling their wares in Bastok were on this linkshell, and I was in Windurst, I could could give a tell to someone selling cheap armor and they could deliver the goods to me, and I could deliver the gil to them.

I wouldn't need a mule in, or a transport to, Bastok to get my goods and the seller could sell to a larger audience.

The LSes would have to be closely monitored 24/7 though by trustworthy volunteers willing to help out by BListing the people abusing the service (those not sending money, or goods, or just being rude, etc...), but, hell! If it wouldn't be a damn cool thing to get up a running!
