So someone impersonating Shaw starts a flame, you all turn on Shaw and the only one to say something nice, Kimberly, backs Shaw and doubts that's something Shaw would say. So once it's determined that it is not Shaw, you all go back and try to play nice after you attacked him here and probably in game as well. And now you want to attack Kim, one of the few people if not the only person who doubted the legitimacy of the post? Quality people. Real quality.
 
I cant really tell but I got the impression from the other thread and this one that kimberly was the one who impersonated shaw and attacked kinkkerbelle in that other thread. Then shaw came out and said it wasnt him, hes being impersonated, and kim showed up and kink and firebrand and her have been fighting. I dont remember reading the part where it was revealed that kim was the impersonator though, nor can I figure out why shes doing it other than for attention. But hey we all like attention. =p Ill check back in a few dozen more posts and see how the drama's going.

I don't get it, Kimberly cybers Shaw, and Shaw buys her a Weskit because he oh so much loves her long time. Then Kimberly sells the Weskit because she doesn't need/want it. Am I the only one who sees no problem with this at all? Even if the intent was to obtain items/gil, then one still will have to agree that the service was performed to the satisfaction of the one who bought the items. It's a fair and square trade, the sucker is Shaw for thinking any of this was real.

Firebrand buys Kimberly a 610k Sleepga II scroll. Why? I don't know, and I wouldn't want to speculate. Regardless, a 610k scroll doesn't buy loyalty, or friendship. For whatever the reasons were the 610k scroll was bought, and it seemed like a good idea to Firebrand at the time. However, the scroll purchase was not contingent on any future behavior of Kimberly's (as far as we know).

What exactly is Kimberly being accused of? Disassociating from people who used to be friends? We all do that, some of us more often than others, and most all of us do it in MMOs because it takes a little more time to get to know someone in an MMO than it does in real life in terms of forming an opinion on whether or not to hang out together.

Taking advantage of people who like her and then turning her back on them? Well, perhaps it's just me, but I certainly wouldn't ditch someone who's good to me, unless I had a good reason to do so.

Fire said it was contingent on other behavior, though. Truthfully, you're right; we really don't know much. Most of the ppl who have posted in this thread were not involved at all, and it is all just he said she said...
 
Ah, I missed that. I guess it depends on what's a reasonable amount to "help out other people". I am not sure what "through ZM 14" means, that could have been a week, a month, who knows.

How is benefit being calculated? (This is more of a question for everyone)
What is the worth of having someone with Sleepga II on the team per event? For how long would Kimberly have to "work off" the cost of the scroll?

If I had felt that the time I stayed with the static was too short, I would have offered to pay for some of the scroll upon leaving.

This is just one more example of why rewarding people up-front for things they will be doing is not practical. Then again, if you need a player to have the scroll, and you don't want to sell it to them, then write it off as loss, and hope they stick out long enough to make it worth it.
 
does kinklink do any sky events? perhaps kim was going after some sky gear and her old ls wasnt capable or just didnt want to go to sky and thats why she left the ls?

Not the case ... KinkLink is not an End-game shell anyone who joins our shell is well aware of this when they join ... Alot of KinkLink members have endgame shells but we keep KinkLink as "Home" ... As a general rule we leave our endgame shell dealings in those shells and keep a civil cooperative atmosphere ( for the most part ). I'm defending or supporting anyone in this discussion, I occasionally get a chuckle out of this board, but as a general rule I don't post here ... " Drama begets MORE Drama ". What ever Kim's reasons where for leaving KinkLink are her reasons so I won't speculate or question them.

Sleepga II. from ZM 4 to ZM 14... you only 'use' sleepga II like.. 3 or 4 times... >.> Kinklink isn't an endgame shell, just a small group of ppl who enjoy one another's company and have fun playing the game. I won't comment on the 'drama' part since it has nothing to do with me. Lets just end this thing and get on with our lives. The kink flame was an impersonation. Now lets all go level our BLUs, CORs, and PUPs and get some assault missions done, okie? ^.^
 
I like everyone in KinkLink that I've had a chance to get to know but it's been a long time since I've been in the LS. It seems 99% of this drama, all the drama on our server in fact, stems from the difference between the two types of players that make up our server population. You've got givers and takers.....Givers help and try and take other people's concerns into account, they keep linkshells together and make events work. Takers on the other hand see everything as "what's in it for me?" or "how does this affect me?". Everyone wants things...endgame missions, rare/ex items or whatever. I can't claim to know Shaw or Kim very well...or at all in Kim's case but from what I've seen here.....Shaw's a giver....Kim's a taker....and so the cycle continues. It's sad but all anyone can really do is remember who is which sort and take that into consideration when it's Dynamis, Sky or event time.

Sorry for rambling but I hope people understand what I mean. Thank you.
 
What's funny is how many times has someone said to me, "hey Kim, help me camp this nm, help me do this ks30 run, help me..., help me...,help me." I don't complain. I always help out for free. You shout in jeuno how you need a teleport and if I see you shout long enough and the amount you are asking goes up... I give you a teleport for free. You see me running around someplace and need a quick d2 to get back to jeuno to meet your party... guess what... I give them away free.

Several people on this forum can testify that I help out people all the time for free. I dont ask anything in return. Not even if I have to take an r1 because some black mage was 3 seconds late... not pointing fingers because we have all done it XD well the good majority of us...

And Paddington you don't know me. I haven't taken anything from anyone. Shaw gave me the weskit on his own will and as soon as he did I told him that I couldn't accept it. It was too much. And he said take it as a sign of my feelings for you. I told him again I couldn't accept it because I didn't feel the same way about him as he did me. He insisted that I keep it. I told him I would just send it back to him in the delivery box later. And he insisted just as much as I did that he would send it back because he wanted me to have it. In fact, he told me that he was perfectly fine with what I really did with the weskit fyi because I talked to him about it and I have stated time and time again that:

I would not have a weskit if it was not for Shaw. Now I am gonna quote that and put it in my sig for all of you mo'fos to see.

I can and will attest to this. I ask kim for help all the time on ks30, and she goes w/o wanting or asking for anything. Most of the time she doesnt even want to accept payment, however, for her time, i do tell people participating to give her a tip.

I dont profess to know what happened b/w kim and kinklink. I dont know much about shaw except for that time he flipped out and refused to join a pt i made b/c i referred to him as a manthra (which he is). But, if he is that heartbroken about a sold weskit, why isnt he saying anything?
