Arguably, I'd say only on the Internet, and in all reality, not even moot himself, but rather 4chan.org.

The only reason any memes really make it outside of the Interwebs is because certain media outlets think it's funny, long after the funny value has worn off the webs.

Yeah only on the internet, except the internet has become one of the biggest things in everyone's lives these days. And sure, most of it is 4chan, but the creator usually gets the credit :P

I'm not saying he is necessarily the most influential person out there, but the poll is on the internet :P
