I still have to order my WiFi, but I picked up a DS (MarioKart bundle) and a copy of the game Saturday after seeing The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Halifirien and I visited each others towns, with him planting a peach tree for me. (My town has cherries.) When I picked it up yesterday and went along the beach for some fishing and some shells I could sell, I found a note in a bottle from Blaine.

My little guy is Arturo (named for a character from Geek Love) from Derry. My town, in all likelihood, will eventually be rated 'M' for mature.

Speaking of "M for Mature," this logo is now on display in the seamstress shop of my town if anyone wants it. The gates will of course be open most of the afternoon for visitors.

Thanks to a letter from "Mom," I now have an apple tree growing in my town. With any luck, there should be apples available for sharing in a few days.
 
If anyone comes across pieces of the Classic furniture set and wants to part with it, I'd be very happy to take it off your hands.

Update: I found a note in a bottle washed up on my beach this morning. It was from Skaw and had the pointy wizard's hat in it. Neat.

I've spent way too much of this update fishing and paying off my my debt to Nook, but he's ready to upgrade my house tomorrow while his store is closed for its first upgrade. What's he selling medicine for though?
 
You can use the medicine to heal your bee stings, but mostly it's for sick animals who request it. Sally the Squirrel has been sick two times already and asked me to bring her some of it.

I think the bitch is addicted to painkillers, but that's just me.

I stopped in someone's town and saw a golden Crown for sale in the seamstress shop. They were charging 1,000,000 bells for it. Ugh.

I'm a big fan of the GCN version, and I've yet to buy the DS version. Kinda sucks that the Nintendo Wi-Fi isn't up in my area. In the mean time I can play Shonen Jump Superstars!! Best DS game out there yet...
