Visually this opening sucks balls.
Musically however, it is awesome in giving you a haunting overture that perfectly reflects the series.
(edit: It also sounds unbelievably fantastic in surround sound.)

The Gankutsuou opening kinda reminded me of the Ergo Proxy opening, both sound wise and visually.

I LOVE Danzai no Hana ~ Guilty Sky! It's one of the few end songs that actually keep my attention.

anyways, while no official sequence has been released, I bring you, Gundam 00 OP 4:

Namida no Mukou - Stereo Pony

(Just a 【MAD】Sequence for now. This Sunday is when the official one should be up and I'll keep an eye out for it.)

That's not an advertisement for a movie. That's Gurren Lagann parallel works, mini episodes set to songs from the OST

A movie like that would be pretty kickass though

There is a very good piano music sheet floating around on the net for the Gankutsuou opening. Not that easy, but quite fun to play and sounds very similar.
