So . . . I get a call around 10:30ish from the Cow . . . she tells me I was rude on the telly last night and that she's pressing charges.

I tell her that I have already talked with the police and she cannot press her hit and run charges because it was not a hit and run.

I head to the cop shop and plunk down my info and they tell me I don't need to file a report because the damage is under $1000.

I go on my merry way, free lunch, what not, get a voice mail durning the meeting . . .

it's a different constable . . . wheee.

being the crafty young man I am . . . I talk to the resource officer at the high school. Turns out he's buddies with this guy and calls him on my behalf - buddy buddy cop talk ensues, convices this constable this lady is full of shit, speaks highly of me.

I go in a put in a statement and re-enforce the fact that she's a crazy bitch on tuesday, now through her own need to fuck me in the ass she's actually done more damage to herself.

a constable is an officer who tends to work the beat in and around the city. these constables are in about as close to the ghetto as you get in this city so they're kind of hard asses. But if they're already closer to my side.

I'm going to screw this bitch out of every penny I can. If that turns out to be all of it, then HO HO HO I'm having a merry christmas.
 
My opinion is fuck her because she was trying to intimidate you and rip you off. If she had been nice and honest with you then you should have done the right thing and paid up, but she tried to take advantage of your good will so she doesnt deserve shit.
 
Seduce her. In 6 months or so ask her to marry you. Here's the catch. DO NOT SIGN THE PRENUPTIAL. Now you might have to stick with the whole marriage charade for a couple of months so things don't look fishy. But after that... dump her. Take half her money and goto Vegas or whatever they've got in the land up-over.

Works for me every time. Sometime I do hit and runs on purpose just for this reason. 8)

The thing about that is, I heard the whole conversation (from his end) and he was much, much, MUCH politer than I expected him to be... not to mention a helluva lot politer than I would have been. Not that we need further proof that this woman is insane...

the long awaited update:

after the trip to the cops and all that wasted time she calls me nearly a month later, asked for money, I asked for quotes . . . she gets mad, says she has my insurance info and she's going through them, I tell her to "get fucked" the conversation ends.

Insurance calls, says they're throwing out her quotes and telling her she has to use their estimators. And, because they smell bullshit my broker said she'd talk to the service dept and give me the option to pay what their repair bill is, not increasing my premiums a penny.

And so ends this tale of frustration and fucking idiots.

Don't let her threaten you either. Use that to your advantage, and never loose your cool. Always remain calm and educated, because if she is going to take legal action, you can use that against her, as well as her lack of evidence! TRUST ME ON THIS! I'm a nerd, I watch Judge Judy while I work out in the gym everyday (the news after that ends), I know how this crap works. I'm just glad that my mom is an attorney, she and her friends can take lying scumbag people like that woman, chew them up, and spit them out faster than you can say OWNED!

I agree totally. Especially if everything is verbal. In Illinois I believe you have 24 hours to get an accident report. If it's the same where you are, then that time has passed. She's friggin' SOL.

I didn't read most of this thread, so I'm not sure what has been say, but my uncle is a car mechanic, and also runs a body shop. For $700 he said, you could pretty much replace the door panel with a brand new one, and still have enough money left over for an oil change, inspection, tire rotation, and a few tanks of gas. Pretty much, she is screwing you over. Chances are a dent could be pinged out. All the needs to be done is to remove the door panel and tap at it from the inside. I've been an apprentice in my uncles shop for about 5 years now, and could easily do a mid sized dent in about an hour. From what you are describing though, it could probably be done in about half an hour, unless touch up paint is needed, which would then only increase the time to an hour. Cost to fix=one hour of labour, which is like, $75/hour max. Let her call the police. It wouldn't be considered hit and run because it was snowing, and you also returned to the scene. Anyone who thought they hit someone and tried to escape wouldn't come back.
 
So as I'm backing out my car slides into a truck parked in the firelane. Now I was maybe doing 5kmph and I thought I didn't touch her. Well I was wrong and drive away.

I say press charges for parking in the firelane lol but good job sounds like a complete ass just trying to get money out of you but really WTF was she doing in the firelange ARENT YOU NOT SUPPOSE TO PARK THERE?!?!?! sorry if its legal but im pretty sure you arent suppose to park there hehe.
