From the way that sounds any experienced auto body dude can fix that in 5 minutes. Do not do shit without a quate. That sounds like absolute shit.

Yeah, a real body specialist can have the dent pinged out very quickly. However, even if it does take 5 minutes, they will charge you for a full hours work. They=tricky that way, and that's why being a mechanic or auto body specialist is a real good way to make alot of money. I mean, if you are able to do two quick jobs in an hour, and make the money you could make in 2 hours otherwise, than you will soon be making some good money. 
Only reason I am an apprentice in my uncle's Body Shop/Auto Garage. Well, another reason is that he does work on my car for free. Couldn't get a better gig...
Now that I think about it though, maybe it's the mechanic that is ripping the woman off. Some do that. Get the woman to take the car to a mechanic you know and trust. That way you will get the best quote, and then you can go tell her to shove her POS vehicle up her ass. :twisted: :roll: I still can't believe she tried to get $700. My uncle has replaced 2 full bumpers for less then that lol

We ne're-do-well computer guys do the same thing . . . actually most people who you hire to get work done charge a one hour minimum . . .

"Fucking" up the front of a Mercedes, as you so nicely put it, is a lot different from slightly denting a pickup truck. Mercedes are European cars, and often take long and more money to fix. For $10,000, you seriously had to fuck that car up lol. Most likely engine damage.
