Another Crappy RDM Topic

Not to long ago I was in a party with this RDM named Neya, had pretty decent gear and the party set up was actually pretty decent, I was going in thinking we would actually get some great exp. Little did we know the rdm probally was one of the worse you could party with.. and when I mean bad.. I mean horribly bad.

To start off with, he or she whatever sex they are, told us they would only do there refresh order.. so we were just thinking.. okay.. Neya said " Me --> DD Mage job ( like blue or drk )--> Blm --> Whm --> Tank. So we were all like wtf, no other rdm's were looking at the time so we just didnt say anything so we could at least get some exp. Overall the party was horrible, I think it probally lasted a hour. I passed her last night and this really just pissed me off.

She sent me a /tell saying "Loldragoon worse ever" so i was like wtf.. Back to the point of this topic.. this is probally the 2nd crappy rdm I have encountered in a short period of time, she is not as bad as this other guy named Oliveman who melee's in the party, but at least he has a proper refresh order and attempts to refresh every 20 minutes. Actually idk who is worse lol. Anyways, just figured I would give everyone a heads up. Anyone play rdm correctly now days?
 
Refresh order can easily be overlooked if the RDM is keeping up with their refresh spells. The only problem is the "initial" casting, and getting everyone refreshed but once that has been established, and as long as there isn't a delay in keeping the other players refreshed, then there shouldn't be a problem.

Personally, a bad RDM in my opinion is one who doesn't take care of the other duties such as enfeebling, hasting, debuffing and the additional curing if needed. If your RDM kept the refresh up though, I really wouldn't be too upset with the order as long as they did the other tasks properly.
 
I can't speak much for Neya other than she/he's annoying.


But you mentiond Oliveman whom I have had plenty of experiance with to know that he's not a good rdm. Also has some of the most corny macros in the world. At least neya probably refreshes "something" on a regular basis, this guy is more concerned about how bad of a rdm he can really be.

tank > whm > me > blm > dd.

Me > Tank > Healer > BLM >w/e is left

You always refresh yourself first to know when it is going to wear on everyone else.
 
SE should give 3 tic <Refresh> to BLU and the circle will be complete. =D

Seriously now, why is there no <Refreshga>?
 
least the rdm never told you if you wanted refresh to get a bard...

Gotta agree with this here.

I'm becommin such a refresh whore...I've timed it down nearly perfectly. I can start casting on myself and it'll wear just before the new Refresh sticks. Secks

I think the reason I really crack down on doing my job properly, is from all the fuckin dipshit RDM's I experienced with Drk, War, and hell even the dumbasses who would haste my Rng.

It's a tough job because you have to weigh your priorities. Players who don't understand this, shouldn't play RDM.
 
It's strange whenever I see Neya running around. People think it's cute to send me tells or speak up in linkshell chat every time they see him/her running around, but since she/he seems to level all the same jobs I do I just find it creepy in a "Single White Female" kind of way.

And yes, RDM > PLD > WHM > BLM > other.

It's not entirely the fault of the RDM though. Yeah, theres many crappy RDMs but I've gotten a lot of parties where they expect a main healer AND buffer AND debuffer AND nuker. And if I don't manage to pull off 3-4 hastes, 3-4 refreshes, Para/Slow/Dia(or Bio)/Gravity, Magic Burst, AND keep the tank alive every single fight AND have MP to spare, with zero downtime. It's really like some kindof bad joke. I understand the whole Haste/Refresh cycles and crap but I've seriously been yelled at for not getting off all these spells on the entire party -every single fight-...people don't seem to know what "recast" means.

lol, I seen "neya" and thought of you. I don't even know you IG, I was gonna PM you and give you a heads up about the thread. Then I seen you were Neyla and I just shut up and pretended nothing happened... :crazy:
 
Give SMNs a AoE Refreshga. Make it with Levi. He does have some Healing spells. I mean they gave Garuda Hastega.

But yea, refresh order shouldn't really matter if it is being used in a cycle. No one who needs refresh in a pt should be without refresh the entire time.

not neccesarily. I "feel" when it's time to recast haste or refresh. I also keep track of what game time I casted it on so that I know beforehand when it's time to recast it. Any order really works. In merit parties I prefer to keep myself refreshed first though so I can be half asleep.

Meriting is so boring and easy >.<

I hadto sell my Dusk Jerkin for 2mil because of you. D:

Not sure about others but I always did BLM/DRK/BLU after PLD/WHM/SMNs because if the tank/healers have no MP, people start to die. If the DDs have no MP, worst case scenario is you just a slower kill / lose the chain, y'know?
