lol, booting him from the shell, not botting. gogo dyslexia!

they kicked him before our run in Xarcabard last night.

Ok, the flame is making a little more sense now, lol.

We had perfect attendance for 3 years, then skip a few run in June and the leader decides to erase our points

Talk about extreme...

While he would be skipping runs, usually to go do something else in game, he would sit in shell talking and socializing. Leadership has warned him about such on several occasions, only to be ignored.

Warned? You guys are nicer than I am. I would have said the very first time "If you're not going to be a part of the run, gtfo of the shell."

If i remember correctly Aud, they warned him back when I was still playing as well :P

HFB was right to use the points posted on the tiers. He was the only leader on at the run to my knowledge, which means he was organizing everything. He didn't have the time to go figuring out points, and may have made a mistake in trying to do so. To suggest he did so for his own gain is preposterous. Anyone that knows HFB knows he spends countless hours helping other people with nothing in it for himself. I applaud him for all the efforts he made that night in holding everything together and making the run happen. I also appologize for not being there.

I have to agree with everything else you've said so far, up until this.

There was no demand for HFB to figure out points. Even I suggested this in LS, as anyone can read the job tiers. The suggestion was to add requested members into the job tier they asked for. The job tier lists had not been updated for a month and the requests were two weeks old. It literally only takes a moment, and I would have graciously read the new tiers, had HFB not been so adamant about using the "current lists". I have to ask why that would be such a problem?

The same problem could arise with the sky LS I'm in. If the attendance holder is absent, we have to follow the latest posted point totals. However, we can also view requests for gear in those threads, the same with lolDynamis. If leaders (such as myself) were to ignore those requests, members would more than likely question the very reason we're popping Gods or Kirin.

I agree with Aud, it should have been addressed strictly when it first happened. This way, it may not have escalated.

Skipping runs and continuing to chat in LS is pretty disrespectful and I have witnessed numerous times as well.

Avoiding city runs and areas that don't drop anything you need, should also be under the no lot rule, but it's way too difficult to track. Since leadership was well aware of his picking and choosing runs to attend, this also should have been addressed strictly when it first occurred. The no-lot rule definitely needs to be adjusted if it could help that issue.

So yes, Khajit may have had perfect attendance in the Northlands, but his activities during other runs, when he was specifically told he was needed, was a slap in the face to everyone in the LS.

So basically you are kicking him for not farming the coins you need to upgrade your relic ?

sounds more like because he'd only do 2 out of 5 (dunno if they counting dreams) areas.

I just want to say this as advice to Khajit and really anyone who wants to make a flame on the flameboard. I'm sure when you were typing it, it was really funny and interesting to you to try to make it sound all flowery or whatever. But to be honest, it just made your post unnecessarily hard to read and follow. I seriously didn't even understand what happened until Dowzer posted. Even with his posts it's still pretty confusing trying to figure out what exactly happened. That should be evident by the fact that almost all of the replies to the topic are questions.

This was probably because he didn't originally post it on the flameboard.

Kicking points leaders before they spend their points is shady business. If you had major issues with Khaj perhaps it would have been better to wait until he got what he had worked quite hard for before removing him and just go separate ways while squaring away the shells debt to his point total.

Yeah, altho it sounds like Khajit is throwing a little bit of a tantrum here, it also feels like the leadership of the dynamis shell did a little shady business there as well. Now I dont know HFB personally, but I have heard some not so nice stuff about the guy too, which leads me to believe there is some merit to what Khajit said. I also agree with Rappa, next time you wanna post a flame, or anything remotely close to a flame, try to do it in a way that doesnt confuse the readers LOL.

kudos to kohra and lolD for making, in my opinion, the right call. if someone is going to pick and choose what he/she attends only because its for their benefit and not for the greater benefit of the ls, said person should be removed. maybe it took an extended period of time to remove khajit because well, it does suck having to kick someone. im sure u as leaders gave him every opportunity to do right, and from what ive read he clearly disregarded on several occasions.

as far as the OP, seems like a disgruntled gear-whore who feels he got cheated. sure, u did put in time and had points and whatnot. but to pick and choose which runs u attend, and to stay and shoot the shit in ls while everyone else is in a zone u feel doesnt benefit u, is low class man. sorry u feel u got burned, but u kinda deserved it.

I know khajit, he is going with my salvage group on sundays, and I was with him on the saturday group before I quit it. He rarely missed a run. You can count on him and his job are welll geared. He never started any bullshit and is resectful to leaders.

lolD has always had a very casual atmosphere. We try to go out of our way to give people the benefit of the doubt and try to talk to them first about problem/issues that arise. Khaj was given countless oppurtunites to get his act together and stop his disrespect of the shell. When it comes down to the point of removing a member, it is not just done on whim. No one leader, save Gladdy (shell holder), has the right to kick a member. If things get to a point and a member is causing such problems that would warrant removal, we have a meeting about it, and vote. To allow Khaj to continue in our shell would not have been fair to the rest of the shell. It is a shame that he was finally removed when he had quite a few points accumulated, but this really is no one's fault but his own. There was nothing shady about it. It is merely coincidence that he had high points in a tier at the time he was booted. If he had changed his behaviour, made ammends and promised to respect the shell, then we may have considered giving him yet another chance. This was not the case, so he's suffering the conciquences of his own actions.

Scwall, in regards to the full details of monday night and the tiers/points: i wasn't there, so i will never know for sure what happened and why. I will stand behind HFB's descision, because given the circumstances, it was the safest route to follow. If i had been in his place i would have done the same.

I can fully understand how Scwall and several other members were/are upset. Leadership is taking steps to ensure this doesn't happen again.

The comment Pchan made regarding Khaj being kicked because it affected the coins i need for upgrading is ridiculous. lolD has many goals, and upgrading members is only one of them. Our main concern is the w/e the majority of the shell wants, and recent polls/discussions on our forum reflect this, as does our schedule change for november. If it was all about what i wanted, we'd be doing nothing but windy runs.

To answer jyak's question about upgrading, the upgraders are celv, myself and greg. we need to finish either me or celv before we can move onto greg though.

It's also an issue of some people in the shell only showing up for Northlands, Dreamworlds and there are a few that only wanna show up enough so that they don't face the no-lotting penalities.

Same. I was starting to question my reading comprehension level.

Anyhow, a "leader" refusing to update lists like that and using old numbers looks really shady (as others have said) -- especially since it puts that same leader on top for lotting rights. I'd be pretty upset, as well, and when leadership refuses to do what's right, such as using current numbers or updating the old numbers when there is obviously new data to go off of, it can be very demoralizing... and not just for the person that is getting screwed.

So leadership is upset that someone is playing by their own rules?

I'm glad he's doing well by you. good luck.

So leadership is upset that someone is playing by their own rules?

With real life aside, that understandable. But wouldn't you be upset if only 50% of your LS showed up city runs but then we get everybody and their momma for Northlands and Dreamlands?

So leadership is upset that someone is playing by their own rules?

more specifically, disregarding shells rules and policy. It's not just the leadership that was upset, it was the majority of the shell.
