I don't know how many of you noticed that this website is basically a fruitcake's paradise:

...but every other (internal) link on the thing seems to be about the reality of aliens on Earth, statues of the Virgin Mary crying tears of various substances, and various blurbs regarding Occultish nonsense.

It's not just the baby story ... EVERYTHING on this section of the site is fake, conspiratorial, and paranoid. Other sections of the site have glimmers of truth, but are still very flakey ... and stupid.


Even provided that every single one of you completely missed the very obvious banners and links (I've noticed that they do cycle with some other, more innocent-looking things), the fact that a story as ridiculously and poorly written (yet sensational in terms of content) as this isn't mentioned in any other news source at all should have tipped you off that this was cooked up in someone's imagination. I assure you, as an English major, that nobody that managed to scrounge up a degree in journalism wrote this pathetic article.

The article CAN be real, its originally written in russia, and translated to english. Its a russian website, which would have explained the english that you desribed.

The thing is, media kind of turns it around. The people they show burning up dolls etc. are the minority of the religion, but as they only show those, we get the idea that its the majority. Just like Christianity have their extremists (an example would be the woman who ran in to dead soldiers funeral saying something like they don't deserve a funeral), Islam have theirs. Media just makes it look like everyone acts that way.

Islam, originally, was a good religion. No one bothers reading about it, though, and learn what its really about. They have rather good views at things like death, life etc.

So in all honesty, I can understand why the Muslim world got offended by the things he said, as he generalized the entire religion. How would the Christians feel if the Muslims came and made a wide generalization about something that a few christians did?

i actually got this story from shoutwire, they are a pretty trustworthy base of news that you normally dont hear about.
I just posted this link since it was the source they had posted.
i checked around, found another russian site and translated some stories and came acrossed this one again, So thats two russian news sites ive found it on...seems real to me.
