Hello everyone. Seems like this is the latest thing around here, so I thought I'd jump on to the bandwagon. :B But really, I just thought it would be nice to introduce myself. I'm tickyhead in most parts of the internet, but on Midgardsormr I'm usually referred to as Mali (Darkior of Doomior, unofficial mascot/co-leader of the ChaosReapers, slayer of rabbits, et cetera). I've looked it up on FFXIAH and there don't seem to be any dupes of my name...but given how common it is, I'm not very hopeful. My mules all look to be in the clear at least, which makes me happy.
Like many Midgardans I'm not very happy about the server merge, but it's not like it can be avoided, and kvetching about it endlessly won't help. At the very least, you guys don't look like a total waste of space.
The fact that you have your own forums is very reassuring. I never made it to end game either, so all the heated debates about Dynamis and scheduling and all that doesn't really matter. By the time I get there I'll be a Quetzy anyway, may as well play by your rules. Hell last time I checked I haven't even hit 60...
Anyway, back to me. I'm 21, and I live somewhere in the California redwoods. My main job is DRK, as you can see by the little icon over there. Ideally that will also be joined by SAM and COR someday. I am a pirate at heart, you see. In my spare time (when I'm not swamped with schoolwork or kicking ass that is) I like to draw, write, watch monster movies, and play video games. I am deeply in love with animation of all kinds, which probably stems from an overload of D*sney when I was young. I also love to act, which has mutated into a love for RP, from tabletop to computer screens. FFXI is by no means an RP-heavy game, but someday I will change that...someday...
I have been away from Vana'Diel for quite a while. Quite a while being a year. I stopped playing because I wanted to focus on school, mainly on transferring from the community college I've been hanging out at for EIGHT BLEEDIN' YEARS to an actual university.
This fall I start at the San Francisco Academy of Art University with a major in illustration and a minor in either animation or game design.
This April I'm finally coming back to Vana'Diel. Even if it isn't my home world, I will make it so.
All in all, life is good.
