I'm sure many of you read my posts and other posts like my own regarding the issue of Gil Farmer/Sellers ruining our Economy, etc. Well, its time to take a stand. I'm tired of going to places such as Sanctuary of Zi'tah or Ordelle's Cave just to see a bunch of Gil Farmers taking every spawn and selling the items at inflated prices on the AH just to sell the gil to IGE. So I thought about it today and I decided to make a LS just for that purpose, to defeat these gil sellers.

Gil farmers can go farm in any other world for all I care, but I will do what I can to flush them out of Quetzalcoatl.

So, if you're tired of Gil sellers ruining all the great farming spots, send me a /tell and I'll give u a pearl. This LS shouldn't be your 1st LS, but it should be treated like a Dynamis or HNM LS:

1) If you want to stop the gil sellers on our server,
2) Want to make some gil in the meantime doing so...

.. then please take a pearl ^^

how's that? thier goal isn't to get us to take action against them, or to piss us off, but rather to make money off of screwing over our economy.

If a level 30 can acctually help at all, I'll take a peral.

as i wrote in the "names of gil sellers" thread...

refer to your instuction manual, in the back, you find the End User Licence Agreement. now, refer to section 4.4 Revocation of User Rights(p. 133). now, lets look at letter (e) and see what is says...

(e) Offering for sale, selling, or otherwise seeking monetary compensation for (1) any Software characters (or "Avatars"), (2) any names, abilities, or character features or other items avalable within a game or obtained as a result of game play or though PlayOnline Service, (3) any points aquired as a result of using the Software or playing any online games in PlayOnline, or (4) access to any PlayOnline user account.

then after all the little letter sections it reads:

"In addition, SEUI shall be entitled to terminate the account (immediatedly and without notice) of any User who was previously suspended or terminated by SEUIand he re-registered using different information in order to avoid such suspension or termination. You agree to indemnify and hold SEUI harmlessfrom and against any losses or damages sustained by SEUI as a result of your engaging in any Prohibited Activities, and you further agree to reimburse SEUI for any and all expenses incurred by SEUI in remedying the effects of such actions.

now, if you goto the ffxi licence agreement (p.143 to look at the article 3: Prohibited Activites and Indemnification). letter (a) (i think they are telling us something if it's first on the list people) clearly states:

(a) Any activities consisting of selling, purchasing or exchanging "gil" by any other currency that may be used in the Game from time to time, characters, and/or Game items for value (including, but not limited to, any payment in kind and any payment in any currency recognized as legal tender in any country, state, territory or other jurisdiction anywhere in the world) through any means or venue, including, without limitation, Internet aauctions or other online exchanges;

now, i have sited for you 2 places in the EULA that says not to do it, yet it continues and it destroying the game economy, personally, i'm thinking of starting an online petition at www.petitiononline.com. if any of you think this would be a good idea, lemme know, i'll be willing to send the petition strait to SE if i can get a decent ammount of signatures, but we'd have to pass the petition around and get the populace of the game community to sign, not just the quezacoatl server mind you. if SE can't hold to their EULA, i don't think this game will be worth continuing...

this is a clear, and honest way of opposing the gil sellers, according to the official FFXI website, the game community consists of 1.5mil JP/EN/EU players. if a majority of those playes are willing to sign a petition and i will personally submit it to SE, then SE has no choice, but to take action, because they will see that a majority of their players are pissed off. this is not just to be 1 server to sign the petition once written, it's to be everyone that is willing, from any and all servers pertaining to FFXI. making an anti-gil sellers LS isn't going to do much... you'll just show you hate them. it wouln't make them stop farming large quantities of gil and screwing over our game economy. please, post support before i decide to write this petition, if i am compfortable with the support, i will write, and start passing around the petition to be signed by any and all willing players. lets not put up a fight against the gil sellers, that wouln't stop them, they will just find new stuff to farm, lets take it to SE and leave it in their hands, if a majority of the players speak, they have to listen.
 
Got a little worried as I read the quote. But apparently I am still able to sell my body for gil which is fine by me :D .... Im a sad little man lol
