Any EU population around?

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of coming back to FFXI as FFXIV I find so awful and miss the good old days. As I'm an EU player, is there any EU people around or an EU social LS that's active to make it worth coming back? Some of the changes are definately looking good!

It's beta. Beta is hardly anything like retail.

There are a fair amount of EU players here, but I couldn't tell you an EU shell =/

i gotta agree with the OP. FFXIV is very nice to look at and they made some really cool changes to the character creation and such. graphics look great. cut scenes are beautiful. but the combat and such is just so slow. and i miss the classic final fantasy classes: red mage, black mage, dark knight, etc.

i personally am going to hang with ffxi till it dies. then perhaps check out star wars. who knows.

There are some EU LSs out here. WhiskeyInTheJar is mostly French (if that's what you're looking for), and I can give you a pearl for a LS with a mostly British EU population (one Frenchie and one German donk in there, too), as well as NAs.

Really? 14 slow combat? What are you taking> Have you played FFXI? It's auto-battle, and it's not exactly fast paced.

i wasn't necessarily saying ffxi was fast or anything. my personal opinion of course, i just dont think its different enough to warrant starting over from scratch. not when i've already paid for this game and all its expansions, and there are other mmos around the corner.

...What? It is completely different from 11 in terms of the battle system. If you don't want to start over from scratch I suggest not playing a video game series that has numerous sequels and other mmos.
