I'm trying to figure out how often the seasons change from the Dry to the Rains. I just beat Gil Snapper and want to claim my rewards for a couple quests but can only do it in the Dry. Any idea when it will change again, I just got Larsa in my pt as guest.

just zone in and out of the giza plains to rabanastre till you hit the rainny one.

you don't understand the question i think, he wants to know when the plains change back tot eh dry withered look and the people go back to the village. i'm in the same boat as him, but i figure it'll change back after i'm done with the rabbit doods and progress the story some more.

yeah thats how you do it.i needed to go to the dry giza plains at one time.and all i had to do was zone to rabanastre and back to giza plains for it to be the desert again.

Coincidence

Ok so tell us, how else is it determined?

Try this- Zone in to Giza, Zone into any other zone, wait 5ish mins, Zone back into Giza. After 2-3 tries, it always turned to the opposite season, for me.

The weathers in FFXII change if you change region, not only zone. I think changing to rabanastre works, idk really. Try zone is the desert then zone back in Gizah plains. The general idea is to zone far away then come back until you have what you want.

Also there is 3 types of weather in the plains, one dry weather one with water elemental one with thunder elementals, and actually maybe light elementals too...?
Some times there are HQ elementals (lv45 instead of 25) wich are enormous balls.

zoning in and out at that point in the game will NOT change the season... think about it, he has to go to jahara, now.... think back, how do you get to jahara? through the rainy season giza, there is no entrance in the dry season, therefore, the season CANNOT change until he reaches a certain point in the plot progression, zoning in and out may change the WEATHER but it won't change the SEASON.

Zoning in and out doesn't change season. You have to progress through the game. To get to Jahara, go to Ozmone Plains on the left side of the Gize zone, head south-west I believe to one zone, then make your way from zone to zone (Try and keep heading south).

Make sure you avoid the mobs if you aren't 25+, since the birds are Lv. 27+, and the other mobs are 25+, and are bitches to kill. Once you reach Jahara, you get sent off to some mountain place. After you return from the mountain place, I believe the seasons change in alot of the zones, including Giza.

What DD is saying is correct, in that if he has not completed the storyline through Jahara, you can not change the seasons by zoning, due to the storyline having it locked in the rains. After the Jahara portion of the storyline, my suggestion works, however.

I changed the season to dry while going to Jahara. I'm pretty sure the entrance to Ozmone Plain is still there but I changed it back before I went to jahara.
