I saw Clerks 2 this weekend and needless to say, it rocked! It was different from the original but it fits in well with the rest of the Jersey Trilogy. It's deffinitely a movie to go and see with the family ;)

im a huge kevin smith fan, Have been for years on end, i have everything the guy has done or been a part of....Some movies most people probly never heard of too lol.
I saw clerks 2 opening day and must say its the best one he's made, that ending was a perfect nod to the original, and they showed sides of characters u didnt get to see before.
And i learned that racial slurs can be taken back!

But to top it off, if you stay till the very end of the credits...i mean THEVERY END, i got to see my name and my wifes name in them!! thanks to the 10,000 myspace friends contest we entered! my name is immortalized on the credits for the dvd release too! woo!

congrats Chasym!

Yeah i've been a fan of Kevin Smith for a long time. First movie i saw was Dogma so I had to work my way back lol. My only problem is I can't watch Jay and Silent bob strike back anymore...i've seen it soo many times with so many people that it's ingrained in my memory banks. Hopefully see Clerks 2 within the week. :D

I found out about the contest to late so I didnt make the credits :(

I did however stay to the very very end (what kind of fan would I be if I didnt?)

Did u enter the dvd contest? They had a follow up contest for an extra 25,000 people to make the dvd's credits....and damn that 10,000 list was long enough as it is...

Other movies to check that deal with kevin u may not have heard of or are not out yet!

Clerks: The animated series
Clerks The Animated movie
Southland Tales (the next movie from the guy who brought us the perfect donnie darko!)
That new paris hilton flick "bottoms up" (kev makes a cameo, Mewes is a main character)
Theres more but thats a nice list of good flicks, Everything from the animated series on up is out already and has been for a long time
From the animated movie on down, Is not out yet.

Two words: Donkey show.

Neyla and I saw "Clerks 2" over the weekened and I loved it. It was hilarious, and the audience erupted into applause when it was over.

At least this time there wasn't a bunch of senior citizens in the audience who left in a huff. That happened during Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Somehow the "Ever had your asshole licked by a fat man in an overcoat?" line clued them in that it wasn't the movie they were expecting.

I'm a big Kevin Smith fan as well. Clerks and Dogma are two of my favorite movies. I'm bummed I didn't get to see Clerks 2 yet but i'm determined to see it soon. I was kind of wary when I heard there was a Clerks 2 coming, you know the curse of the sequel... so it's good to hear such a ringing endorsement.

wow <3 <3 <3 Kevin Smith - cannot wait to see CLERKS 2 (I saw the original in the theatre way back when....though I think Chasing Amy is still my fav of his BANKY FTW)

I hear there is an awesome rant about Star Wars vs. Lord of the Rings....

It was an awesome movie. The last time I heard a movie crowd clap like the one Saturday night was for "Return of the King." Oh the irony.

I have heard bad reviews, and good ones, I can't wait to see it before I make my mind up.

The bad reviews are usually from people who were either Offended (i can see how that could have easily been done lol) or people who didnt like kevin smith anyway, Which my own local papers review was bad and he even said in the review "I dont like kevin smith as it is" lol.
But yeah thats the first movie i went to i think ever where people applauded at the end....

And the lord of the rings movie summary by randall was priceless and pretty much right on the nose lol

Leave Lord of the Rings out of it, fanboy! :P

"Even the trees walked in that movie!" Hahaha.

I saw the movie on Saturday and I woke up laughing my ass this morning (Monday) ... all I could think about as I got ready for work was "I'm taking it back"

hell yeah! donnie is my fave movie because its perfectly made and you need a brain to understand it! the people ive met who didnt like it...didnt get it, or never finished it lol.
those who didnt like it and say they got it...always explain it way wrong.
Thats what makes it great, weeds out the kids who just like the same old processed crap!
Kevin plays a war amputee in this movie, In a wheel chair with no legs, also a local spy/perv with binoculars spyin in windows.
ive heard bad things about the pre screenings so far...i can only pray its as good as donnie.

Goin to see this on wednsday.

Everything else Kevin smith ever did was golden.

Hey hali, did you enter the "Kevin Smith look alike" contest?

Great movie, loved all the jokes in it, though I thought the movie as a whole was very thin in the joke area, at least with a Smith film.

It definetly deserved that 7 MINUTE STANDING OVATION AT CANNES IT GOT!!!!
