I'm trying to organize a run for the Pimps but we have no NIN available on our chosen date. I'll have a brd + whm there, and the NIN will receive a stack of shihei bags for their services. If you have an air tank we'll put you in the pop order.

WAR/NIN can tank it pretty well. Did a couple of runs that way once before and it was WAR, WHM and SMN trio so not really that difficult. I assume you were the WHM going so you'd need to find a replacement then.

Get a pld to do it!

We killed him with PLD DRK DRK RDM easy as pie

The DRK didnt melee only stunned/drained and RDM healed and PLD tanked so he was the only one taking the AOE hits. The Drks would run in and WS then bail out. Fight took about 10 minutes tops...
 
I've never fought this guy so I was going off what people were saying, nin + brd + whm = walk in the park. If pld can do it, I have a couple of those.

BoL burned me out, I wasn't helpful for awhile after that... you guys can all move on or continue to hold year old shit against me, thats fine, I don't hide who I really am, if I can help a friend then I will.
 
I've never had negative qualms with you on a personal level Deci and I truly do appreciate your offer. It was a general angst I had with some (well, two) of the BoL leads back when I was a member and I unjustly I let that malcontent drift and apply to the other leads. Thank you for the offer, I look forward to having you on-board for this.

You should be able to once he stops doing flying hip press, (unless SE changed something, it's been awhile) once he moves on to his other move, he stops doing hip press completely
 
I don't believe you need a BRD for this, I had done a run previously for mine with a NIN, and then RDM and BLM doing the healing.

I have a friend who is wanting to get these, and he has NIN at 75 so you can send him a /tell if you see him in game as i'm sure he'd be interested if he has an airtank. His name is Arezael. He was our NIN when I got mine, so I know he's familiar with how to tank the NM.

I have fought it a couple times for Klank and Ish's boots. I could sneak in for a TA/DE, but I'd rather just stand from a distance.

Spamming TP into him with Souleater/Bloodweapon/Kraken was a lesson in itself.
 
Nin tanks it just fine, i've tanked it before. The only time i took dmg is the AoE, and it doesn't even strip shadows. So just heal up, and continue.
