Any other RL crafters out there?

Until I just wrote that I never LOL'd about the fact that I do lots of RL crafting and I had to specify RL in my post. Anyway I spend my lazy time at work (love my laid back job) and when I can't play FF doing RL crafting. Mostly jewelry but I do card stamping and some other random stuff. Now I have spent my free afternoon looking for craft fairs in my area because as much money as I put into my jewelry I am trying to make some of it back. I know it is a huge long shot but I figured I would reach out to my Quetz community. I am in the Southern Indiana area with easy access to Illinios and Kentucky. Depending on the situation I would be willing to travel as far as Indianapolis, St. Louis, or Nashville. I would also be interested in some areas of Alabama (I know people there but not the kind who know the first thing about craft fairs). Any information on any event where I could sell my jewelry would be great. Also if for some reason anyone would be interested in my work I can post pics.

I just recently started getting serious with my crocheting and I'm learning to knit and make felt items. I learned how to crochet in middle school and never finished anything until I made a scarf for Tristam. I'm currently working on finishing a baby blanket for a relative.

I am in SC so I don't know about many craft fairs around you. I'm not sure if you want to sell online but http://www.etsy.com/ seems to be a good place. I am a member there but I have not put anything up for sale there. Good luck with your craft!

I make, rather made, armor from 2003-2005. I'm going to try and get back into it this year, time-permitting.

I make jewelry! I also paint and decorate (rooms, boxes, etc.). Jewelry typically consists of beading but I do some light wire work as well.

I own a business (see signature for details) making chainmail and chainmail related jewelry. So far I've done mostly local special orders but as of later this year I will be participating in around two renaissance faires and as many local/regional craft fairs as I can get myself into.

Our website isn't nearly complete and is just up to fill the space until we have more time to put up a working store site, but it gives a basic idea of what we have inventory of. However, it doesn't demonstrate (yet that is) the shear scope of what we can do with simple metal rings. We take special orders on a per request basis, and if my partner or I can make it, we'll accept the order and negotiate a price.

This was the shock of the day... I figured I would check this thread and find nothing. I was mildly entertained by those making armor and chainmail (not in a bad way). The more looking I do I am going to have to do the craft fairs I can find and do some flea markets to help fill in the gaps. Thanks for the website Stine I am going to go check it out right now.

since you live in Indiana, you should check out the kane county craft fair in IL, it happens maybe wice a year, but its a HUGE place

Apparently there are a lot of craft fairs in Indiana so you could make a killing. My aunt finds all these craft fairs in Indiana (more northern-western). I feel bad for my cousin who gets dragged along.
