I bought a Powercolor X1900 XTX last week, and the bloody thing was bent.
The silver plate at the front of the card had a few bends, those were easily fixed. What I'm talking about is the PCB - the entire board was freakin' curved. It's very minute, like a banana that's been run over by a mack truck... but it still irks me. I didn't pay $600 for a card that could double as a pooper scooper.
I did manage to get it in the PCI-E slot with some minor elbow grease, but I'm skeptical for the future. A curved PCB that's been straightened like this could result in problems with heatsink contact in the future.
After some research, it appears this is a somewhat common issue with X1900 boards from various vendors. Has anyone else seen (or heard of) this?
I'll be taking it back for an exchange this weekend, but just wanted to throw this out as a heads-up. Oh, and keep your packaging - I'mma have a hell of a time returning this to those mofo's at NCIX without it.
