I went mining hard core on Friday. Usually it only takes a day or so to sell everything, but here it is Monday and half my stuff still hasn't sold! I also notice the prices are decreasing greatly. Anyone else notice this this weekend?

When I was doing Mining I used to have this problem, it seems that there is every few weeks an influx of new people mining, who end up flooding the market and driving prices down, they find out that mining is not some big money maker and is even more boring than farming and stop. So that prices go back up and you start to only see the same old people mining again.

I've never had a problem getting my stuff to sell after a mining trip, except if its those damn tin ores. My advice is to keep what sells quickly and dont really worry about the rest. Most importantly break even, if pickaxes cost you 5k, make at least 5k out of your trip.

BTW, what are you mining up?

Farm and sell stuff that is in low supply and high demand at the AH.
This fluctuation happens all the time, but if you follow that one rule, you'll sell quick and for maximum profit.

When SE nerfed the padded cap thing, a lot of the gilfarmers fell back to mining, and they seem to be great at noticably undercutting prices to get their stuff to sell... that's why you notice the prices dropping. A lot of the gilfarmers have moved on, since the more people in the mines = less money for everyone, but you still see several there all day (fireangel, lightangel, darkenvoy, lightenvoy, etc etc). Most that have stayed in the mines are low lvl, so they tend to just camp the 'upper' mining points.

 I hope you arn't paying 5k for a stack of pickaxes.

Ive always noticed this on the weekends. I try to avoid selling items on the weekends and wait for the weekday to sell. Also on weekends is when i will do a craft as the prices are cheaper then.

Oh believe me, this is what I do. I do use the tin and zincs as they sell rather quickly. As far as what I mine up, I had 11 Darksteele ores, 4 gold ores, colored rocks, silvers, Ingots, etc.

The gold sold decent and so did the silver. But the DS ore is STILL slowly being sold. I used to be able to clear that much out in a little over a day. I also have 2 stacks of iron sheets that have yet to sell, and those sold fairly quickly before as well......

What I really hate is, well since I can't play much, I usually put stuff on the AH when I'm at a friends house, and log off, and then While i'm gone, the prices go down, come back when I can play and nothing sell because everthing went down! Also I really hate it when you buy something, then you go to sell it, it is half price cheaper >< (such as my friken Cent. Armor, i bought 3 weeks before update, and now since the update, it's only 6-7k and getting lower ; ; )

I HATE ppl who put stuff up for like 5k less than >< for example i farmed wild onions, 6k stack last time I cheked, put them in AH for 5999 to sell a little fatser, couple hours later I check and some bean-weanie sold a stack for 4.8k!!! ><><><><><><

yeah, undercutting at the AH has been a real problem. Cotten thread used to be around 10k a stack (ish), now, ive had 3 stacks up for 3 days now >_<.

I am a professional undercutter, anything that wouldn't require me to commit suicide if it sold for way less then it was worth was put up for very little gil, even below the cost prices in places like Jeuno. I want my auctions to move move move, anything waiting around in inventory is not making me money.

Crystals, materials...shoot anything under 50k was put up for a couple of gil.

I know how you feel asiamise, I have Iron sheets for sale at the AH for over a week now. And don`t get me started on Scythes, made 11 two weeks ago to raise my smithing and still have 8 left (including a +1) that are not selling. And I saw the price go from 16K in Bastok to 12K now during that period of time.

Need a scythe anyone? Make you a deal! :D
