On account of the recent snowfall (steadily snowing for 12+ hours yesterday - I'm in Indiana) I called into work today ....for the first time! So, anyone else call in today or have a call-in story?

And how would you spend your day when you couldn't leave the house? (besides play ffxi.....I'll get to that later cause I'm on Pokerstars right now!!)

I thought about it, but all my weekly reports are due today, I really can't miss.

I'm in Illinois and we've gotten the same snow. I'm lucky though, my hubby leaves alot earlier than me so my car is always brushed off and warmed up before I have to leave.

He just 2-wayed me a bit ago to tell me that Leland Road is still pretty bad, but once I get on Rt. 34 past Rt. 23 it's clear. I live in the country so they do NOT plow out this way. It can get pretty hairy sometimes.

I've only really ever called into work once (about 3 days ago) and it was cause I woke up very very sick. And all I got to do on my days off... was sleep.

Indiana here too. I didn't call in though. The snow crews did a decent (not good) job of road clearing. It took me about 2 hours to drive home from work (4 miles) last night and conversly it only took ~20 minutes to get to work this morning.

Yah, it took my mom 5 hours to get home. She gets home around 5 but she got home at 10.

My friends on the bus were still on the bus at like 8 pm My bus driver got home at midnight. It was insane.

Two years ago we had really hard snow in, here in Toronto. It was so bad the Mayor called in the millitary to come help clear it up. Ah Mayor Mel Lastman, I miss that guy, and so do many of us here.

Anyway the rest of Canada was making fun of us cause Toronto dosn't get snow as bad as other parts of this country and not as cold either. They humored at what is to them an average day in the life of the winter season, while we crashed cars and stayed home and stuff. The end '-'
