playing it now, dont like the way the character portraits look, other then that games pretty good... up at 5:30 am to put in my wings reg code, lol

Yeah I got it on release day, haven't played as much as I like due to work and when I'm not at work I'm doing something with WotG >> I enjoy it, but it's rather easy, and seems kind of short, but I'm sure I'll be replaying it, plus there's a bonus dungeon for the NA version to add more length to the game.

I'm on chapter 8. Great DS game. I like how its a RTS with RPG elements embedded within. Fun stuff. ^^

Sadly, I never got around to finishing Final Fantasy XII. I really want to get the DS game, but I should probably finish the original first.

So they went the Fire Emblem direction and made it an RTS. Strange..

The two aren't really related story wise.

besides, FFXII's story blew hardcore :P

I think FFXII has one of the better stories in the series (although I haven't finished it), but then again we've had this discussion before.

My devotion to individual entries seems to go in multiples of four. I adore FF4, FF8 and FF12, so I guess the next big spike will be FF16... which will probably come out when I'm in the nursing home.

I'm stuck on the mission where you have to sneak Vaan into a temple in Chapter 3. I try not to use a guide so any tips?

Use sprint. Its not that hard, took me a few retries though. Just make vaan run like hell the moment the guards start heading the other way ;/

Hmm.. I didn't think about that I was using normal walk as soon as the guards turned the other direction.

Also I have to agree with Langly that the character models are disappointing especially on the enemies.

Heh mine go in multiples of 3. FFIII, FFVI, FFIX, FFXII, so next one for me will be FFXV.

A lot of the enemies are just recreations of FFT monsters :|

Pretty good- Final Fantasy I (remake)
Good- Final Fantasy IV, VIII
Great- Final Fantasy VII, X, Tactics
Perfect- FINAL FANTASY IX

Can be done without sprint, the only thing you have to worry about is the 1st guard and then the verra at top... Mostly stay in the tall grass and pace yourself.

I like the game alot, the Bahamut reminds me of FF7's bahamut.... or is it Ultima weapon o_O? Anyways, has nice FMVs and storyline is rather good.

In all this talk of FF favorites going in multiples, does anyone else find it funny that XI is a prime number?

i got this game last week, I just got up to that same part too where you have to sneak past the guards, but haven't beaten it yet. I haven't played the game since Fri night though, so didn't get a chance to keep trying at that part, but I really enjoy the game so far. I even tried those extra side hunts on those maps that tomaj can give you before I moved on with the storyline battles.
